@stiflermr it's a very colloquial expression we use in England to make someone feel welcome...." come in, I'll put the kettle on" literally means that I'll make us both a cup of tea, and then we can have a chat. Remember, these guys spent a lot of time living in the UK, so of course, picked up on plenty of our colloquiums. It is therefore a very good thing to say to someone.
