tis around 107 mpg i get out mine, iv also got 89mph out of my bike aswell with a performance mod 15t front sprocket and a GPR race can, my other accessories are gillies ajustables rearsets titan with carbon heel plate upgraded front and rear brake lines, carbon fx yolk protector gold annodised red barends seat cowl with self painted accent of red and self painted red hugger, and lowpro mirrors

Well listen to me I own one and it does 85 and if youread what other people have been reporting you get very similar figures if I had an onboard camera I'd prove it too. and I paid 2899 I brought the white and red and its a fucker to keep clean buts it handles well and accelerates well and corners well too. I don't think the brakes are that good though for what it is but its definetley worth it oh and very good fuel consumption
4t at 125cc is a waste of time, buy a 2t and stop being so conservative, honda's the most reliable 2t, eg: nsr125, crm125, mtx125, not the quickest but plenty quick enough, i have a standard crm125rm, 33bhp, that will do 90mph on flat, had 98mph downhill, ran out of road. and thats on pirreli mt21's, the knobbliest road legal tyres available, had it for 5 months, commuted 26 miles on weekdays for 3 months, no engine problems, bullet-proof, loads of hard greenlaning aswell, never failed me yet.
i bought this bike last saturday for £3,000 its not slow at all and will do well over 70 bceause mine new i cant take it over 6,000rpm but i gave it a good run yesterday and got 70 at 9,000rpm, this bike redlines at 12 so i reckon it will do 85, excellent build quality
it dont matter where it redlines, its new, so its restricted, unless you change tht i will be shocked if you get anythin over 80. havin said tht 80 is quick enough n it is a v nice bike, bein 4t it will be reliable too.
the bike isnt restricted by the dealers, yamaha would restrict it to/ or below 14.5bhp for it to be learner legal, the restriction is probably electronic with the bike being so modern, but they could also be in the exaust, throttle, carb or air box. and 85mph standard, your dreaming mate, look at the honda nsr, 33bhp and that will only do about 85/95mph on a flat, and thats over double the bhp of this bike. and 90mph out of a cbr, km's maybe, you are definatly dreaming, 75 tops fella.
I've had 85mph out of this bike its actually very quick and a friends of mine has an nsr that can go well over a hundred btw i havnt done any mods to my bike this is astandard uk had it about 4weeks and done over 1000miles so far
you're wrong, if you knew the YZF bikes you'd see that the picture at 21 seconds is the R6, look at the Faring design, also notice the gold forks, which are not apparent on the 125. get ya facts straight.

thats what they say, they also say the CBR125 is able to do 114-120km/h, but a friend of mine has got 146km/h out of his, which probably means the YZF-R125 can do a fair bit more than 130, im guessing around 150-155.
i think with a bike like that that lacks power you want one with a closer gear ration rather then a top speed bike, it only a 125 it will take ages to get anything above 70kph, closer gear ratios much more fun :)

I'm really quite impressed with Yamaha, they've unlike Honda made a fantastic little bike here. You look at 00:30, that looks like the R6, like a 600's size. If nothing was said to you about this picture you'd think it was the R6. Very well done for Yamaha!
The kids are gonna love this bike, I'm 21 and I love it! I'd like to have a go on one but in the next few months I'm gonna get an RS250...as I just miss the great fun I had on it, I had the RS125...massive fun! Ride a CBR600F at the mo, great bike but need an R1 or Blade this year, something sportier!

looks good but personally for nw 125's the new aprilia RS125 is soooo much sexier, and its 2 stroke. I actually thought it was a 250 when i saw it as physically its much bigger than just about all 125's on the market. Still for a 125 4stroke i guess this is an awesome start, atleast for a long time.
IT looks like a pretty good bike, but why not just double the CCs and go for a Ninja 250R the new look for that bike is beautiful and it just has enough power to pass cars when needed with a top speed of 105mph and 170kph but not enough to kill yourself right away
ok if you pass you test on a 125 and you are under 21 then yeh go for the ninja 250, most will ride this on l plates then do a dac when they reach 21 me thinks.
well, in ways thats a good thing, they aren't going to make 2 strokes anymore. and they are less reliable than 4 strokes, you'll be thankful later on in life.
114 km/h is that not a bit to slow for a 125 ccm because their a for example the rs 125 from aprilia with a 30 hp motor who drives 160 km/h that's much faster ...
my mate has a cbr125 which is a 4 stroke, and when that came out they said that would do 70, he's got 91mph out of it. thought that was pretty good! i've been on the back and we got 85 too.

this bike's stronger than a cbr. I seriously don't believe this bike has a max speed of 114, when a cbr has top speed in 130-140. this bike has a 15 bhp engine, while cbrs have like 13-14 bhp.

dealers dont restrict 4 stroke 125cc's, not to a great extent like they do say with the RS. there's not a lot of point with the lack of power of 4t.
you can redline any 125 you buy new.
a friend of mine got 90 out of his new CBR125 (after it was run in), at about 12000 rpm, when it redlines at around 11000.
the YZF-R125 is very capable of 85mph.
possibly more even without modification.

This bike goes easily 120km/h and the top speed is around 130km/h... I did read that from finnish motorbike magazine "Bike".

I'm really quite impressed with Yamaha, they've unlike Honda made a fantastic little bike here. You look at 00:30, that looks like the R6, like a 600's size. If nothing was said to you about this picture you'd think it was the R6. Very well done for Yamaha!

The kids are gonna love this bike, I'm 21 and I love it! I'd like to have a go on one but in the next few months I'm gonna get an RS250...as I just miss the great fun I had on it, I had the RS125...massive fun! Ride a CBR600F at the mo, great bike but need an R1 or Blade this year, something sportier!

Very nice looking bike first bike indeed. Looks like its going 100mph standing still! To anyone wondering why Yamaha are making it a 4-stroke its down to all the save the planet shite blame Bono and Madonna for ruining fast 2t 125's and making us ride slow 4ts!

Before anyone has a go at me for knocking 4ts, I wasn't at all. I have a 4t xt125x myself just saying it's a shame that they're slowly getting rid of 2ts, since they're great fun. Both have they're good and bad attributes. =)

looks good but personally for nw 125's the new aprilia RS125 is soooo much sexier, and its 2 stroke. I actually thought it was a 250 when i saw it as physically its much bigger than just about all 125's on the market. Still for a 125 4stroke i guess this is an awesome start, atleast for a long time.

if this is the replacemeant for the old firebreathing TZR 125 R then yamaha have gone backwards for speed. the old TZR 125 R would batter this.

This is a 4 stroke, the TZR was a 2 stroke dumbass! and TZR's aren't that fast I outran one on my old Suzuki Intruder vl 125cc.

IT looks like a pretty good bike, but why not just double the CCs and go for a Ninja 250R the new look for that bike is beautiful and it just has enough power to pass cars when needed with a top speed of 105mph and 170kph but not enough to kill yourself right away

ok if you pass you test on a 125 and you are under 21 then yeh go for the ninja 250, most will ride this on l plates then do a dac when they reach 21 me thinks.

well, in ways thats a good thing, they aren't going to make 2 strokes anymore. and they are less reliable than 4 strokes, you'll be thankful later on in life.

114 km/h is that not a bit to slow for a 125 ccm because their a for example the rs 125 from aprilia with a 30 hp motor who drives 160 km/h that's much faster ...

my mate has a cbr125 which is a 4 stroke, and when that came out they said that would do 70, he's got 91mph out of it. thought that was pretty good! i've been on the back and we got 85 too.

this bike's stronger than a cbr. I seriously don't believe this bike has a max speed of 114, when a cbr has top speed in 130-140. this bike has a 15 bhp engine, while cbrs have like 13-14 bhp.
