  • I just saw a human train wreck.

  • For someone who writes on songs and plays piano and makes a living from music you would think she would have at least "some" natural body rhythm.

  • Who's the drunk chick dancing like she's waiting for slash to finish so she can jump his bone.......that's right I said bone!!!

  • All you negative haters really suck. Carole King is a brilliant songwriting genius. She can rock it hard or soft = range, and she has more talent in her heart than the entire lot of you combined. You fools ought to go look really hard in the mirror, and ask yourselves wht, if anything, you have ever accomplished. And while you're typing your hate out to the world because you're safely hidden in your computer room, this babe is out there doing it - and she was in her 50's when this was filmed

  • She looks like a drunk chick in a bar that gets all obsessive and won't leave you alone!

  • one morning in NY !!! :)

  • this is just too fuk'n cool!

  • slash was probably just greatful to get to gig withThe greatest living female

    songwriter.

  • At first I didn't think it was Slash who was coming in, he looked so young and fragile...o.O

  • remember when Slash used to be a rockstar?

  • @Superphilipp I don't know what's your idea of being a rockstar, but when Slash received this proposal, instead of being close-minded, he probably thought "what the f**k, let's do it". And he surely doesn't give a f**k about what you or me think about it. If you think that's not being a rockstar, then I guess my idea of rock is different than yours.

  • She seem very happy cause of slash but she reminds me of drunk chicks at a karaoke bar

  • Slash isnt going to go on a crazy solo or riff in this song considering he didnt write or choose it.....So he is playing according to the guitar in the song not his own style. This is not his style but he still plays it beautifully and you cant rank how good he is by this song lol it isnt his

  • Slash played the sh*t out of this.Carol king probaly wished she could have had this type guitar work in the early 70's for studio recordings and concerts.Slash cranked up a #1 hit(feel the earth move/ locomotion, etc.) to a level with 5 times the energy.Unbelievable.

  • I was there that night...

  • Slash is the coolest looking person I've ever seen. A real life cowboy musician gypsy.

  • The story in the book Girls Like Us was that Carole was having an affair with a much younger man, an "actor"- but the person is obviously Slash, that cost her her third marriage. She ended the relationship because of the age difference. From other interviews I've read she had known Slash for years and was friends with his mother. They toured the whole summer and he still speaks fondly of her.

  • I was there!

  • Both legends in their own right but what a mess this is. King gets lost in the middle and why is she trying to look (dance) like a rocker? She's not one and never has been. No need for her to pretend.

Slash, it seems, will pimp himself out to just about anyone these days.

  • You have to wonder how slash got involved in this mess.

  • @drfeelgoodTO He was screwing her. That is how.

  • As a high profiled "musician" Slash was way off the key note, and not in tune with the other musicians. He plays Rock for sure but evidenced here, not much else.

  • @javierresto

Wow you really don't have an ear for music do you? Carole King's singing is all over the place. Slash is just jamming out with the band.

  • @drfeelgoodTO

You obviously have no understanding of music. Carole King is a much better musician than Slash. Don't get me wrong, I like Guns N' Roses, but they were a limited band musically. Slash is hacking away there on stage playing one damn scale...while everyone else actually knows what the hell is going on..........the ignorance of people these days.....

  • @paulb7

Oh yea the irratic dancing clearly inditcates she's NOT intoxicated in any way and her pitch is perfect. That's what I MEANT to say.

  • @paulb7 Let's see he's on Letterman.. and your on youtube bashing him because you think he's bad.. something is wrong here?

  • @freaknbigpanda No, nothing wrong here...I think he's bad in this performance and get bored watching him play. I'm a big GN'R fan but realize they're limited musically

  • @paulb7 Too true. He holds onto those bends for way too long cos he really has no idea where to go to get out of the box...

  • @paulb7

no my friend...you know nothing of music. To say that GN'R were limited musically is a ridiculous statement. Listen to the AFD record and then UYI songs like estranged, dont cry...COMA...and to say that he's hacking away and pointing out the fact he's playing one scale is stupid. You're a fool if you think most guitar solos switch scales half way through

  • @drfeelgoodTO No man, you're the one who is clueless. I graduated H.S. in 1972 & have heard it all & I agree with Time Mag having listed Slash as the #2 best electric guitarist of all time after Hendrix. This performance was to highlight King, not Slash. Too see Slash at his best, search: Slash & Myles Kennedy MAX Sessions - By the Sword. In this acoustic set, he also played Sweet Child o' Mine with an acoustic guitar. Carole King is one of the Greats & I have all her stuff. This show was hers.

  • @UtzChips2009

Well Im not taking anything away from her singing but the dancing is just down right dorky.

  • @drfeelgoodTO Slash does seem a bit off here, like he's expecting the band to follow him, and I am also a huge GNR fan. I've seen Carole in concert and have to agree about her dancing: she really doesn't move well on stage, and it's not just here, and it's not just dancing. She's a brilliant songwriter and a pretty good performer, but she doesn't seem comfortable in her own skin, unaware of the space her body takes up.

It's okay. I'd still pay to hear her sing.

  • .....when you're down and trouble and you need some love and care.....!·$%!·$&"%/·&/(....welcome to the jungle, we got fun n games.... ja ja ja what is this combination!!!! XDDD

  • Is funny how people change externally through the years, but still the same person inside. At this time Slash was very thin. today, after all these years he seems stronger, older appearance, but continues with the same feeling and guitar playing, supporting Gibson in his leg with his head down and smoking a cigarette! Slash is the man!

  • Well...... that was cool..... really odd, but still cool. (im a bit confused though)

  • Yeah, ok! Amen.

  • Slash is always so into his playing he never cares what happens around him ;D

I mean Carole could prob drop dead and he would just keep on rockin!

  • @Jehenes I think he's trying to ignore her annoying presence,,, that's what I'd do too.

  • @Jehenes true to that lol

to me he is just the most emotional guitar player there is that just to me

  • Man Carole's so cute...

  • Yea not bad for a 53 year old which she was at the time!

  • Hello onebadscrivener! It's cbfall! The noise didn't bother me at all! Carole King and Slash's performance is great! I enjoyed it a lot! Thanks for posting this!

  • She's so excited
