Your body is craving calories from not enough fruit. Fat foods have lots of calories! Not enough tender greens (they are mineral abundant) causes cravings too.
Fat foods are very slow to process, so you tend to put on fat when you consume them.
Eating LOTS of fruit has the calories and gives you the energy as well. It is also satisfying so you eat less overall calories.
Thank you for the advice!!!! I eat tones of fruit, more so than the seeds & nuts, but recently over the weekends I find myself craving something heavier-- I think if I up my green even more, that will help balance me out.
yea, you should really weigh yourself on saturday and let sunday be a fresh new day because it is the beginning of a calendar week. that should keep you going all week and weekend. also it might help to reach for the fruit instead of the honey, crackers and such. that's what helps for me ;)
For the time being I'm taking a little break from my scale-- but maybe a Saturday weigh in will be better on my spirit and keep me on track on the weekends, rather than Sunday or Monday weigh in. And yes, I totally agree that water rich foods like fruit and veg are way better option than the honey and tahini!!!
I still don't fit into my clothes!! Yes the exercise is toning me up, but I still have quite a bit of poundage to release!! It'll come off, (when its ready!!)
Have you considered not weighing yourself for a month? Because I find weighing myself the biggest hurdle ... and when I am not so concerned with the scales, I always feel better about myself, which means better weight.
Here's a suggestion - every Frid night or Sat morning, write a list of things you are really happy with about yourself and your life. Read this list every time you consider overeating. That really helps.
I love your comments and advice!!! Its funny, I've been thinking of not weighing myself every week, infact I decided the next weigh-in would be not this friday, but the friday after. The weigh in seems to be giving me anxiety and self sabotage as well!! I will follow your list advice as well, great idea and I need something to keep me out of the refrigerator on the weekends!
negative patterns are probably the hardest part of a lifestyle or diet change.. common sense tells you to find a simple answer to the simple question. you have to be clever about it and trick yourself in some way to avoid whatever it is you want to stop doing.
Yes wheat can be a difficult one!! Have you tried having Chia or flax crackers? That can definitely help. Its the starch craving. Even a banana helps me with a starch/bread craving-- try it out next time!!
I take it i need a dehydrator to make said crackers ~that's next on my list :) I currently buy baked rice/seed crackers and they help, but not with the chewy/dough craving...blargh...i suppose some things just have to be toughed out...
~*I make hummus and baba-ganouj, but i haven't been buying any végé-pâté because most of it contains wheat. I'll have to learn to make a proper raw pâté....mmm...sounds like that might hit the spot. Thanks for the tip~*
I love that idea! I will apply it from now on! I am soo sorry I didn't see that video in 2009! hehehe

I had another thought :-)
You are doing loads of exercise, muscle weighs more than fat - it's more than possible that you are loosing inches and remaining the same weight.
When I used to do a lot of exercise, I weighed more but looked thinner. So this might be what's happening for you. Very possible.

Have you tried making any patés/dips with sunflower or pumpkin seeds-- that too is good for starch cravings

Yes, definitely do a raw paté, it will help with the cravings for bread, starch and heavier food.
