I once had 2 large garden spiders, that I was taking home to feed to my alligator lizards. I kept them in an empty water bottle for the 15 minute drive & by the time I got home they had both been bitten, by one another and neither would move. My lizards ignored them, until about an hour later, when the venom's effects had began to apparently wear off! They both started to twitch their legs, just enough to catch the lizards attention. Chomp. Maybe, this scorpion's venom could've worn off, too.
