  • I like the sound of your guitarr :))

  • i know the original canon key is in c..

  • This was cool,i liked what you did with the finger style lick, impro very good, cheers taz

  • Wow..how do you do this when you can't read music? Amazing for even if you could!

  • Sir, You say you are "music illiterate" I say to that BULL$HIT! (sorry about the swearing) But, you are very much Music Literate. I have enjoyed watching your videos. They all sound GREAT!

  • @Davrosyd

I can't read or write music, so in that sense I'm a musical illiterate. Someone who can't read could still be a good storyteller. I think I fall in that category, musically.

  • @bsondahl I cannot read tabs/music either, Thanks for giving me hope.

  • that was beautiful... where did you get this tab?

  • @raphael3655 It's my own arrangement--I'm musically illiterate, so no tabs.

  • @bsondahl ah too bad.. you must be like pro

  • wow, nice, i like it..

  • is improvisate????

  • yes, improvisations based on the chord progression, not the original composition.

  • Love the song and loved your interpretation. Thanks for sharing this. Interesting fingerpicking. Kind of Scruggs style. You play banjo too?

  • I only play 6 string banjo. I figured out how to pick on my own, except a friend suggested I pick the 6th string with my middle finger since I couldn't learn to alternate with my index.

  • This is amazing! Do you mind checking my version of this song out?

  • I have to play this song to my love one time in my life haha im so romantic :p..im joking hahahaha

  • doesnt really work on guitar but u pulled it of

  • doesn't really work on guitar?! what are you, an idiot or something?

  • wonderful..........

  • Very nice version, it sounds great. :-)

  • amazing!!

  • Sweet! :D

  • much too fast. sorry, but this is my opinion. But you play on guitar well

  • I have to say... this is by far, the most impressive rendition of Canon for the guitar I've ever seen. So very natural, and you play so very easily and it was just... umm... perfect.

Thanks for making my day just a little bet better.

  • OMG by ear you are awesome

  • but u do not alternate ur fingers at the beginning part.. p i m a... is ggod..

  • i dont really use the pima thing but i could still play, who cares =P

  • very nice performance... but in D is the best

  • what is the chord sequence

  • C G Am Em F C F G

  • i can never get F right, my fingers are sore from practicing, but i could never get F right =P

  • I never bother with trying to cover the low E string when I'm doing an F, if that helps...

Also I've just discovered liquid bandage, which is currently holding one of my fingernails together, but might also help for instant callouses...

  • okeaseee u gotta tab this for meeeeeee!! i tried for 2 hours and i cant seem to follow ur video.

  • Ok so I couldn't tab it if my life depended on it--I don't read or write tab.

  • Simply Amazing,

    Very lovely man,

Would love to be able to play that :)

  • that was very lovely <3

  • That's awesome. Very nice playing. Thank you for sharing.

  • very folky ;-b

  • how long did u take 2 learn this song....??? really awesome!!!!! 5 star!!!!

  • Awesome!

  • Very nice I love how you play it do you still have the tabs I whishes I could play like you

  • No tabs, all by ear.

  • all by ear? you're awesome! i wish i could do that.

  • nice..

  • very nice. thank you

  • Have some respect, you sound like a little kid.

  • yes but its known by everyone has canon in D. if you say "canon in d" to someone that know you are referring to pachelbel's canon. by calling this "canon in d, played in c" i know exactly what it is just from the title whereas if it had been called "canon in c" i'd have though 'whats that?'

  • well you dont deserve to listen to good music then.

how many other pieces do you know that are called Canon? I know the answers going to be none, but your just going to google it and pretend your clever.

    doyle

  • a canon is a style of music much like a fugue or a sarabande, and there are many canon's out there. A canon tends to have a repeated phrase or melody.

And I dont need to use google to know this but maybe you should use google to look up some facts though before you talk about things you obviously know nothing about.

  • a canon is a musical technique used in any style of music. you are correct, it is a repeated phrase or melody, quite often in the bassline, but its not a stlye of music like jazz or soul.

  • very beautyfull done, please look my version watch?v=_9X7pjipvh8 ^^

  • cool

  • unique I like it

  • strange

  • liking it in c, could you play it in other keys, may i make a request for something in minor?

  • it can be played in any major key - but not minor

  • I liked it. It's different and it kind of gave it a different feeling. :P Good job.

  • i didnt like that rendition you play very well but it ruined the mood of the song by playing it in c

  • wouldnt that be...canon in C???

  • Well, if the Minuet in G was played in C, you'd still call it the Minuet in G...

  • Hi Brad, I think your rendition of Cannon in C is cool. I figured out how to play it by watching the vid over and over... C G Am Em F C F G over and over with different little riffs each time.. Thanks for a Great Song!!

  • Hey gsmoreno92 Could you tab it for me? I'm a newbie and I would like to play this song even though it could take few months or maybe years, but by ear would take my whole life...

  • beautiful. excellent job, definently

  • i feel so jealous. i am learning to play the guitar however i am too slow. my tempo is offbeat plus i can't perfectly understand. you're lucky.

  • Beautiful ~! Classic song, you pulled it off very well. Cheers

  • I love your take on this. Sounds almost folkish.

  • Yes, I'm a totally folk (untrained) guitarist
