I am in the process of doing that to my alienware laptop! check out my laptop and very custom iPhone 4, I got the wii controller to sync up to my iphone but I can't play any games with it yet...

@jleesmith69 Alienware are the only ones who make attractive windows laptops (that I've seen at least), I love the lighting haha. Yeah if you get the iPhone 4 wii controller to work, make a video and add it as a video response to my new wiimote video (it's on my new channel @gogeeks ).. you should subscribe to that one actually, that has higher quality video and is updated more frequently (new video every two weeks).

yeah you can do a lot of cool things with the nunchuck attatched, like i made a script where you rubberband the nunchuck to your foot, use it as an accelerator in mario cart.

I don't mean to sound like a science geek, (i am) but no, inferred light is much higher on the spectrum of light than the light from a candle.

To all "science geeks" out there, please research first. Google "candles wiimote" and you will have your answer. Infrared, not inferred, starts actually just above the red wavelength around 750nm and goes up to 1mm (wiki). Many light sources, including candles, do not have their spectrum limited solely to the visible spectrum.

"Infra," meaning "below," infrared is below red on the spectrum of electromagnetic radiation. You are correct though, it is not part of the visible spectrum. And to answer the original question--yes, candles emit infrared light. But you can burn candles atop your hi-def display--I'll pass. ;)

and if you builded your own one dont make them to narrow and not to wide, make the ir distance slightly smaller then your screen length (your resolution in width)

and look if the ir leds are straight up and on the same height.

to see what the wii sees go to glovepie and choose ir calibration (standard plugin included in glovepie and look whats happening)

The Wiimote connects to my computer but the 4 lights keep blinking... I can tell its connected because the usb adaptor light blinks faster evertime I press a buttom.
