  • I'm a big Who fan, but the definitive version of this song? Mose, baby.

  • missing the giant barrage of drums but other then that...

  • Altough this one is good, The Who recorded the definitive version of this song.

  • @FelipeQuevici

NOT..mose owns this and every other song that he has recorded that others emulate,

  • the who kinda own this at IOW.

  • townshend is a really fan of the jazz music....and do a really good cover of this song

  • Listen to Live at Leeds and Townshend says on the record that it's a Mose Allison cover (Townshend calls him a 'jazz sage' - to which Moon asks "What's that Pete? Is it a flavour of chicken?" - and he wrote this when he was "about 40")

  • ...and 50 years later, the lyrics still carry a powerful meaning.

  • Awesome song the who did a great cover and so did foo fighters

  • ain't nothin or ain't got nothin is it?

  • I thought it was The Who's original.. I love their version.

After listening to this....wow, the original's is more entertaining... thanks for posting

  • just as good as the cover the who did!

  • this guy does a sick cover of "squeeze box"

  • See also "Kruder + Dorfmeister - Young Men"

  • mose and his humor, a wonderful part of who he is,

  • I believe this is the original, later covered by The Who and others.

  • @massmanute Who is my favourite band! but yes mose allison's version is the original! :)

  • @massmanute But if you also see carefully, he also sings the 'eyesight to the blind' witch is a song of the Who :) so i guess it goes like you stole from me- i steal from you!

  • @vik3nti0s

lolwut. "Eyesight to the Blind" is a blues standard, bro. Sonny Boy friggin' Williamson played it.

  • @OrphanTrain1321 Oh! i didnt know :/ but thanks anyway mate :)

  • @vik3nti0s

I thought Sonny Boy Williamson sang it.

  • @massmanute the foo fighters cover is the best

  • @eggsaz The Foo's version mimics the Who's version (Live at Leeds), which is better, IMO. This is great though!

  • @eggsaz men,the who version is killer look live at the isle of woght version is just amazing

  • @eggsaz ever hear of the who?

  • @massmanute This was also the main insperation for Thw Who's, My Generation

  • @PrimalStones I didn't know that this song also inspired My Generation. Interesting!
