Great to see this famous American race. Well remember triple winner Jay Trump coming over to win the 1965 Grand National beating my beloved Freddie Scotlands hero into second place in one of the great National finishes
PS. I did also see your tape of the 08 MHC,if you love jump racing as I do ,a must see race included in those I mentioned last year are the river 'chases at Nuille-sur-Vicoin, near Laval, Mayenne, France where the River Vicoin is forded twice in each 'chase from one bank straight over to the other side then eventually back again. Sadly the old racecourse at Lignieres has closed but they also use to ford their river, 4 times a race, by travelling up and down stream, but not to the opposite bank
Thanks for the info. It would be nice to see the race at Nuille-sur-Vicoin, but I couldn't find anything on the web. This could be an excuse to vacation in France again.
Super! Thanks for posting. I would so love to see this in person.

Incredible! What a tough race! Are there always so many falls?

No. The race this year had the most falls in recent memory. Last year there were none. One or two falls would be typical.
