a clearly presented interpretation. While I appreciate your precise metric accuracy, I am often starved to hear more from "between the notes"...the breathing and elasticity of it. With too much emphasis on rythmic precision and pure pianistic execution, the GRAND vision this music is based upon suffers. I'm not convinced that the vision of this music disturbs you or even exhausts you. It does for me, and i need some recouperative "therapy" after playing it, both physically and emotionally

I prefer this understated version to the more showy ones. Shame the split between the 2 parts of the video is in the most sublime bit. Goes of the rails a bit at 7:23 to 7:33 - but who wouldn't in one of the hardest 10 seconds of piano!

splendid technique, natural facilities. Almost comes across too easy for him, doesn't struggle with it, and that could be why it lacks the fire and despair that the piece needs.
