  • Oh Please, RAFSG1! Completely useless in airlift - what's it been doing for the past 16 years? And only concrete runways? Maybe your RAF isn't doing SPRO work, but our guys certainly are. Advance technology, superstrong carbon fibre? LMFAO! When did you say first flight was? Better yet, when will first delivery be? I understand cost overruns make the 400 as expensive as a C-17. Hmmm, for the same money, would you rather have a Triumph TR7, or would you rather have a BMW 850? Go figure!

  • That's a pretty stupid comment you know. You're placing yourself out of time here figuring that when everything stops, it'll still be as good as when it started, so everything that evolves around it looks useless and expensive.

The C17 had a terrible start at huge cost and was way too heavy. But that was 16 years ago... 16 years is a lot of development time, even for people in Europe.

  • A400M - still a paper airplane! Vive C-17!

  • hah! the C-17 is completly useless in airlift, combat transporting and supply dropping!

it is wayyy to big and heavy to be any use in airlift situations.

it can ONLY land on concrete runways, again making it completely useless in transporting, because of its huge turbine engines.

Its range might be better, but it is MUCH heavier, due to the A400 being completely made of super-strong carbon fibre...

it is no where near as advanced in technology as the A400, neither is it as effective.

  • cette avion ets merveilleu vive airbus !!!!!!!!
