Ain't it goofy and regular, not righty or lefty lol? An easy test is to just stand with both feet even and have someone push you from behind. Whichever foot you step out with first should be the foot you put in front (Righty = Regular, Lefty = Goofy)

@VSUZUKIV any board is good for carving and cruuising go to a skate shop or something ask for a cruiser have a look ask if you can have a feel of it ( they akways let me try before i buy ) but pintails are a bit unstable i think its loadednewsletter or someone posted a review of the fatail its a checky monkey just like the description said but if you would like some more help i will try to post a video for you on what board will suiot you

Very good video for a beginner like me! thank you! but in one point i have to disagree, because braking can be done easier, because in my opinion you loose much balance when you do it your way. I just take my foot in the back, set a little of it on the side of the board and go down with the toes and the it braks very good

Are you serious? Don't make a longboard video if you don't know board idiot. You don't try to keep yourself as straight as possible when pumping that makes you less balanced. Also get bearing spacers so you can tighten your wheel nut down as tight as possible and the wheel spins. Bearing spacers take most of the pressure off your bearings and makes the slides like ice in your mommas poontang.

um, pumping isn't just pushing with your foot, pumping is how you move on flatland WITHOUT pushing with your foot. It involves shifting weight at the right moment to increase momentum. search "long board pumping" for more details.

Getting into a speed tuck wouldn't make your speed wobbles go away, in most cases, it increases them. When you get speed wobbles, just relax and lose some tension in your calf muscles, or start carving to slow down just enough so that the wobbles go away. Speed wobbles will not occur if you are constantly carving. A lower angle on the baseplate of your truck will greatly help you in your battle against the wobbles. Wobbles are based mostly on the rider, not the board.

your first longboard should NOT be long. It should be small so its easiyer to control and once you get good you can get a longer one. Trust me I work at a skate shop but beside that good job. And if your looking for a long board i suggest a sector 9 board its really good and not to expensive.

speed wobble is also caused by flex in your board and worn pivot cups.

When the kid says "you want the wheel to be able to move back and forth just a little bit" - don't do that, your spacers are pointless that way and you can crush your bearings when you slide if your wheels are free to move on the axle. Tighten the wheel so that it doesn't move, but not so tight that it can't spin freely. Find the sweet spot in between, and use speed rings washers on all eight of your bearings.
