This isn't from a DVD, it's a just a news piece that appeared on the web about the 2007 Classic Rock Awards. :) Dunno if there's a DVD of the Elvis special either, it was shown on tv several years ago around his birthday or something - called "Elvis Lives."

His trademarks like the violin bow solos or the theramin solos made countless people wonder and think in amazement. His solos are not all about shreding, far from it. He shows the spirit of blues musicians in his playing. He is one of few who showed the world what they were missing out on. He is a true god of rock n roll!

He was so verstaille as a guitar player. He was known for being a riff king, one of the best soloists of all time, and his outstanding songwriting and producing. Today's guitarists stick with a very overdone chord progression and use of chords. Jimmy Page, if he would come out with a solo album, would have all these different things going on that would set your mind on an acid trip. His playing is so out there and unique. Facts are facts, and Jimmy Page being the best is just another fact. There is just so much proof of that.

@tloadin1 Jimmy Page did make the violin bow his trademark as well as using the theremin, which also is credited by Jimmy Page who actually brought up the instrument to light. Jeff Beck is amazing too, but he doesn't beat Jimi Hendrix. Jimi Hendrix is second to Jimmy Page, then Jeff Beck comes in like 4th or 5th. I'm fully aware of Beck's skills, but he's not as good as Hendrix or Page for that matter. I'm glad to hear that you've got a great taste in music though! Cheers to that!
