    My apologies, your's truly,

    R.O Smith

  • @olivier654 whats up with the i am so and so age and what is this..see it everywhere

  • @sunnyDj2

It's a meme, 4channers have it as a running "joke" on all topics that are normally considered bad. For example: Suppose someone makes a thread about necrophilia, then they normally go "I'm 12 and what is this.".

It's hard to explain any better, it's internet humor. It shouldn't have to be explained since it's not very serious.

  • @TheFacelessActivist ight i see

  • @olivier654 A wanted man is johny cash

  • @WoHDEMENTOR words of God bud. . Johnny is a wanted man

  • @olivier654 a wanted man is a man who is being chased by the police and there is a reward for his arest

  • Johnny was and is the Man. Who would or could do a show in prison?

  • @danelsons bob dylan and bb king

  • johnny cash is good

  • i like the psycho charger version.

  • I think that American songwriters have a bit of an advantage over those in Britain as so many of the place names are easy to put into rhyme.

  • @ straydog02 i agree with you that joaquin Phoenix was robbed of an academy award he did a brilliant job of portraying the late and ever so talented Johnny Cash..

@ cornelisrocks it's good to see someone so young into such good music.. :-)

    Johnny Cash rocks

  • Johnny cash is the best and most inspiring musican in this world !!

Thank you Johnny for your great music!

  • I didnt hear that. Thats pretty cool.

  • The song was co written by Cash and Dylan in Cash's house.....

  • Dylan wrote wanted man

  • @fogt1430 The very first time Cash played it he said that he and Dylan wrote it together in Cash's home the previous week

  • @desmondgrant1 he says that b4 he plays this version, so this is the first time theyre playin it live.... but its cut off when he talks about dylan which sucks

  • @kevinsantore , in my version Cash says that the song is co writen and e calls Dylan one of the greatest song writters in the world.....

  • Johnny Cash lives on......

  • i am problably one of the very few in my country who knows johnny cash, but I think he is a master. I live in Holland.

  • i am 2 years old and i am a big fan of cash R.I.P.

  • i am 8 years old and i am a big fan of cash R.I.P

  • none of them prisoners look impressed

  • @discobiscuites IMO this song resonated with most of the prisoners in San Quentin, although it didn't bring the house down quite like Cash's songs 'San Quentin' and 'A Boy Named Sue' did.

  • i fall in love with this everytime i watch it

  • i am 9 years old and i am a big fan of cash R.I.P

  • @MetherFeckerrrr nobody cares about your age.

  • @Treacherouslife really though

  • Never considerd Cash as Country Ive always considerd him as a bluesy kinda guy but set the standards for alot of music and its still missed Cash is Life

  • @demonsblood12 hes outlaw country

  • Bob Dylan was one hell of a lyricist.

  • @DaRandom90

And a hell of a friend of JC's.

  • About Joaquin Phoenix portrayal of Cash... Did you know that Joaquin is just 5'8'' (1,73 m) when the real Johnny Cash was 6'2'' (1,88 m). But in front of a camera you can hardly even notice it.. Great movie! Johnny Cash 4ever

IT'S JOHNNY CASH FOR GOD'S SAKE A HERO, YES HE TOOK DRUGS BUT TURNED HIS LIFE AROUND,,, AND INSPIRED OTHERS SO.

THR GUITAR INDUSTRY OWES THE CASH FAMILY MILLIONS FOR THE SALES RIGHTS

  • Greatest Country Star ever ! Fine Columbo Seqel "Schwanengesang" (German).

  • Actually, Bob and Cash wrote this together, from what I heard - Cash reported they met at his Nashville home to write this number.

There'll never be another musician like JR Cash. The raw energy his performance had (especially this at San Quentin) still fascinates me whenever I listen to them.

  • @Johi2410 Yups. He actually says so in the beginning.

  • Yep, and then he asks the guitarist "You know the introduction, Bob?" :D Priceless!

  • That's what's so great about live recordings like that. And unlike now it was just; lets play a show, talk some in between and F it, we don't need to cut those bits out.

It's what makes live recordings awesome. I've got a cd here where the band is arguing over wether or not a certain chord was in place for 5+ minutes in between songs. That's priceless too. :)

  • Oh, really? What CD is that on??

I remember Cash asking "What key will we do that in?", several times, too :D

  • @Johi2410 Ow sorry, I wasn't very specific there, its ánother band. I was just talking about it as an example.

My bad for the misunderstanding ;)

  • Yeah yeah, that's the way I understood it, too! I was just wondering which band/album you were talking about.

  • Ah, ok hahaha, Its a cd from a danish band called Furillo. I think, it's around here somewhere but I can't immediately find it.

  • wanted man in ohio : )

  • shithot classic man classic song and just a classic jail

  • Bob Dylan wrote this for him. Superb lyric, surprise, surprise.

  • the people's champion

  • Coolest motherfucker to ever walk the earth!

  • OK, but he wouldn't have liked you to call him that !

  • hell im wanted now

  • my granpa was in folsom prison when cash went there.and no thats not a good that he went to jail but hell i wouldve like kicked a cop or something to go into folsom

  • One of his greatest songs, not as well known but it flows so well.

    A true great.

  • There will NEVER BE A OTHER!!!

  • Not only was his music great but this cat was the origianl rockstar.

  • Not god but knew God & was proud of it now the guitar train picker if playing for Jesus

  • one of my biggest regrets in life, i wish I had seen perform live.

  • cash got in to the guitar... when i was 13... never heard anything like it, like a train

  • Awesome Martin guitar Johnny has there!

Joaquin Phoenix should have won the Acadamy Award for his portrayal of Cash in the movie 'Walk the Line' ... He was robbed.

  • @straydog02 Pretty sure I saw that very guitar at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville. Sort of a corny place, but they do have some cool artifacts.

  • Folsom concert was a thought of a man who cared about everyone - one of the thngs I remember about my family - "had all that I wanted of a lot of things I had and a lot more than I needed of some things that turned out bad"

  • i am 10 years old and i am a big fan of cash R.I.P

  • It's a pitty you couldn't see him alife, you'd have loved it!

  • @cornelisrocks Haha good on you, keep listening to good music.

  • @cornelisrocks Who gives a shit how old u are...

  • @cornelisrocks right on, man.. I mean no offense by this but people really don't develop mature musical tastes until they're at least eighteen. Still, it sounds like you're on the right track. By the time you come of age, all your chump peers are going to be listening to hip hop, and you'll just shake your head at them, knowing very well what true music is.

  • @cornelisrocks You Know son that is beautiful to see I am 50 and remember this when I was your age! God moved through him for me I hope he inspires you!

  • @cornelisrocks KEEP HIM ALIVE IN YOUR CHILDREN LITTLE ONE ive loved him since i was 11 funny hey true jr is like a god to me

  • @

    cornelisrocks

  • Johnny always knew the soiul of us proisoiners, the oines oin chaoins. 5 stars to 1 & oinly Mr. Johnny Cash !!!

  • yay!11

  • How long was Cash in San Quentin?

  • He never did prison time. He played for the inmates by request and recorded an album there. He was arrested seven times for misdemeanors, and sued by the federal govt. for starting a forest fire. Hope this helps.

  • one of my favorite johnny cash tunes. live, especially.

  • super location and filming

  • And here's a good glimpse of Bob at 0:44 :^)

  • as i was told the story, a gent named Bob Wootton showed up to one of Cash's shows shortly after Luther Perkins death, said he knew every Cash lick there ever was and would like to meet the man. Johnny hired him on the spot and Bob remained the lead guitarist until Johnny's death, and still tours today with the "Tennessee Three"

  • afaik bob wootton has been picked up at a concert where the halve of johnny's band wasn't able to arrive in time to the beginning of the show

the story tells that johnny and june asked around in the audience whether somebody could play the tunes and so they found bob

  • Carl Perkins was very alive during this song ... Luther Perkins on the other hand

  • LOL yes I meant Luther, my bad

  • so sad the looks on those mens faces in the audience during this song. all they was thinkin bout was what the rest of there lives were goin to be.

  • wanted man in San Jose

  • Wanted Man in Austin .

  • What I love about Cash and his band is that the whole song revolves around what he wants to do- no two songs are performed the same... like at 1:29...

Cash's band are really skilled to be able to keep up and smooth over any bumps left by the Man In Black.

I sense this post does not feature enough lols and smileys. Care to help me fix that?

  • I've always wanted to see Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash perform this song together being that they both wrote it.

  • almost the last of the true true country singers what a singer and what you see is COUNTRY most people know a johnny cash song

  • ur right pustohod...hes better!!! wooo long live johnny

  • amazing song, oh yeah all johnnys songs are amazing

  • It is Carl Perkins . Cash introduces Carl before he sings Boy named Sue .

  • But before singing Folsom Prison Blues he didn't mention Carl. Just Wooton, Grant and Holland are introduced.

We can read about Carl Perkins in the book added to the CD though

Best wishes to all Cash's fans.

  • how about a complete version, my dude?

  • That's all there is of the video footage. It's an excerpt from the documentary film about the concert, and they cut all songs very much, and many ones were deleted completely.

To make clear who the guitarist is: It's Bob Wootton on this video, who joined the Tennessee Three in Fall 1968. Carl Perkins was not present at this part of the concert, he was introduced for his solo parts and for "A Boy Named Sue", but didn't play with the band on "Wanted Man", "San Quentin" and everything before that.

  • Carl Perkins had passed away by the time the San Quentin album was cut. As a matter of fact Johnny mentions Carl passing on the album. I think it was somewhere around "Darlin Companion" when he mentioned this. No bother, RIP Johnny.

  • Correction Johnny mention it before Starkville City Jail. Carl had been dead for 7 months.
