o.k. I looked it up--it looks like it might've aired on the "Julie on Sesame Street" on November 23, 1973, which would have been in Sesame Street's 4th year. That would put me at 11, which I thought I was younger than that..., but perhaps I'm mistaken. Besides, I do seem to recall it was a holiday night, but Thanksgiving that year was on the 22. So, 37 years ago... either way, it was long ago!
@glowworm2 Yeah, she was deep-throating Frazzle at the end! Do you think this would work with Prairie Dawn and Ernie (instead of turning into an ugly monster at the end, she'd get prettier with each verse until she was so pretty that Ernie would fall in love with her) I can see it now
Prairie: Oh goody, my date's here!
Ernie: Hiya honey!
**Prairie kisses Ernie, the two literallyend up swapping their spit**

Wow-I always wanted to see this version as well!Thank you! Heh-Jerry's voice as the girl is hysterical-although it's kinda weird to hear Frazzle actually talk.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, for the guy she probably was the pretties girl out there.

at 1:15, you can see the sleve that the puppeter uses to control the arms
legoofeggos 3 years ago
Well DUH. That happens all the time. It's not that big of a deal. I never care that much about it when I'm puppeteering a human arm puppet.

when she said "come in" that was DEFINATLY jim

Great to see another show tune covered on Sesame Street, not just parodied with a soundalike!

Who is voicing the female puppet? At first I thought it was jerry Nelson then Jim Hanson as the monster but perhaps it was Jim all the way through?

It was Jim all the way through.

Thanks.I was confused because your tags included Jerry Nelson. After watching it several times I realized that it was Jim all the way through.

That's some serious loving going on at the end for Sesame Street!

I think that laugh track wasn't needed in the special.
