That is the sweetest most intelligent game ever! Your budgie is very talented :) I love seeing other budgie owners interact with their birds... it makes me so happy to see how they've bonded! My complements! Your bird must really love you to play interactively! My cockatiel likes toys, but doesn't play with me directly. Haha and I don't even bother with my 2 budgies. I didn't push anything on him, or try to get him to do anything. Once he could fly I made sure there were lots of landing places, taking care that he didn't destroy the wooden beams of my house! (he was a manic chewer).

@Booknerd739 My last male budgie, picked up the 'F' word from latenight cable tv and the only way I could break him of saying it (babysat for younger kids so it wasn't appropriate) was to play him a vid of a random Scottish football fanatic blathering (very hillarious) in cusses for him to mimic, meaningless to most people in the US.
Koko, the signing gorilla, made up her own swears, she wasn't taught how, displease her and you might see the signs for 'dirty bad toilet.'
@braska19 I googled for "penguin toy" and found a website that shows one similar to Sven's, it's at Arcata pet dot com (you have to search for "penguin" on their website since I can't post a link here). If you can't order it, at least it will give you an idea of the name, and how to find one locally.
@braska19 That penguin on wheels is made by Vo-toys. I just got one today from an online store call petstore.com for about $2-$3. I ordered it a few days ago because I saw it on a different video. I haven't seen this toy in stores. I'm hoping that my birds will like it. My daughter likes the toy if my birds don't.

Beautiful bird! I adore him. That's the first time I have seen a bird play fetch. You obviously give your bird much love and he loves you too. You are both lucky to have each other.

You'd think it'd be enough, but no! He'd go sit on the table edge and look down at what he'd thrown on the floor. And he'd keep doing that until one of us would pick it up for him so he could do it all again.
Lmao his reaction and face expression is priceless at 0:36-0:39...he's like huh??? Then suddenly his light bulb lights up...omg he is adorable!!!!!!!!

Usually 'penguin' something or another. Mine tend to be in German packaging, so I'm not sure what they are really called. They are made in China, or Hong Kong, and are now quite hard to find. The body (apparently) has some lead in it - which would be toxic for birds if it split in half. So now they are hard to find. I gave up hunting online, and now just check every pet shop I can find when I am in the UK.
