  • is it just me or does getting aftermarket exhaust on a v6 sound ricey?

  • @maxxy4lyfe no...you clearly havnt heard mac axlebacks...

  • @maxxy4lyfe its just you, i had my car running 12s and it was a 6er, these things also got a deep exhuast, sounds like a 6er in the top end but deep and loud in the low end, cameras just didnt do them justice

  • is the part number 16605 from magnaflow?

  • yes, well not exactly i bought mine in sections... but that is pretty much the same system a newer version of it by the looks of it..

  • On some engines, the X/H pipe is necessary to improve the sound quality mostly as the different cylinder heads fire off from each other, but that isnt the case with the 4.0L so no X needed

  • @TheHerm25

x pipes mainly help with v8 because theres firing pattern is normally uneven on one side meaning there is more back pressure coming from one side of the engine so thats why the x pipe comes in handy with v8's

i have xpipes along with some short tuned headers on my v6 and they sound great and also added some horses nice sound btw im thinking of converting to magna flow haha

  • No X/H pipe? What a waste.

  • Why does that make it a waste?

  • I think it helps the flow of the exhaust to give you a little more HP. I just think it's better to have an x or an h pipe than straight back.
