I have Battlefield 3 / BF:BC2 / CoD: MW1 / MW2 / WaW / Black Ops and countless games on Xbox360, and also really many games on computer, such as Command & Conquer latest 5 versions. Still I'm playing The Settlers (IV) on my mobile phone like 6 hours in row s: I want this on my computer, this is epic.

make sure you build at least 4 storage area in any of the map, it will store everything things that you need and the mine will keep on producing more. without storage area the mine will produce only a maximum of 8 basket of gold. and make sure you start building gold mine at the very beginning after wood

OMGGGG The quest " The magic from the south" in Roman campaign was so harddd! First, i started building forester hut, woodcutter to speed up the building process. and follow by building all kinds of food and then mineral mine. Next i build a barrack and also weapon and tools maker. I have no idea why the army production was so slowww. previous campaign i manage to produce 100 and more army but this time lvl only 30-40 and the enemy keep attacking. i tried bringing 40 army to attack but failed.

@2828348 you need to build your forces up to at least 100 and that means that past 100 you cannot select them all make sure you have alot of food and mines and smelters then make slowly ONLY lvl 3 people its a lot slower yes, but they are 3x better than level 1 people do this for all levels.

@hoppieeatpie Hahah thanks alot. i have complete the campaign by now. Now i realize how easy it was. i build 20 fisher hut. I got more than enough of food, and the most important of all is the storage area. i builded 10 storage area. Everything run smoothly. xD

@Demonlock54 Try to build thoose important and huge one first. thoose others like fisher hut ,storage area, smith you can build them further..

im playing this game and it is fun but i have a problem. i need more shovels and i click the toolshop to make them. i have the iron ore and all other materials required but nothing happens. the settlers just wont make it.

how is this possible. also in front of my mines there lies gold, coal, iron etcetera but no one is picking it up.

It looks my settlement is frozen and nothing happens....

@marterazzi that's cuz if you have little carriers then it's gonna take a long damn time. Oh plus if you alreadty have 8 shovels at your toolsmith there isn't any more room to have any more shovels. So you gotta recruit people quick.

why won't my soldiers destroy the towers of the other settlement? I'm running rampant, killing any new enemy soldiers, but can't pass level 4 for the romans

How to you make a new settlement?

I load up a cart with everything and make it go to some unexplored place on the map and unpack it. The pioneers stars expand all around it but i cant build in it?

I dont get those small red/Green dots telling me were i can build?!?

@lanz1987 It's much too small dude. Plus you gotta have a marketplace to send materials to have new buildings to that settlement.

@615036 you need to load them with ammo in an ammo making building. Then after that click the "load" button on the catapult.

Hey. Great game. But i have a problem. When i, in roman level 4, build 2 marketplaces, i cant get the donkeys to transport the goods. They just stand there at the first marketplace, packed. And yes, i have set up a route between the two. Is therea limit how far away it Can be or cant the donkeys go through forrest or something?

you have to turn your cart into a migration cart. just select it and press the button, anyway, it is a tutorial, you don't have 10000 options of stuff to do...

The problem everything I click on doesnt give me any options. The cart is in the vehicle hall right? I cant select anything..

Hi, youve probably sorted it out already but i got stuck on there for a few minutes as well, i simply pressed the fast forward button ( top right) a few times and after that it seemed to move.

If it was the bit after with the linking of the two market place (i think) what you need to do it is like link them up, theres a button for it i think.

Nah, I contacted Gameloft, they say it happens to a lot of people with recent games. I had the same problem with Asphalt 5.

I've got a problem: if I want to start the game, the screen turns black. It doesn't work if I reboot my iPod, reinstalling doesn't work too.

Settlers is the best strategy with unique tactic! It is one of first game with a Indirect Control. And Settlers 4 one of the best!

but it's pretty funny! Why do you use the original (attack)music at background of this tutorial but not in the game?

This is the only point of criticism, music is annoying.

And the most important tutorial tip must be: Build houses - Avoid "Settlerslack"!

The game wasn't made by them. It's an Ubisoft game, ported by Gameloft for the iPhone.

I played the since settlers II in 1996

My fav game of the series is Settlers III

Iphone settlers is based on settlers IV from 2001

It's still a dumb comment, as the game concept (described by MASKdk as "complicated") was NOT created by Gameloft. It was simply ported from a pre-existing game. They are not to blame, obviously.

I've been playing Settlers since the Commodore Amiga, by the way.

BTW: When will the Modern Combat update for multiplayer will be in the App Store? With Christmas? And will it support bluetooth support as well? That would be freakn' awesome :) 2 of my friends also have an iPod Touch, and so far we just play Real Soccer every break at school :P ^^. We want something new! xD

Yes I know Eliminate. The problem with that is that A) The graphics arent stunning. And B) You can only play over WiFi/3G, and I have and iPod Touch so it wont work for me, becauses the only place I play games with other iPod Touches is in school and we dont have a free WiFi to join there...
