  • There is no "IF" And "Should've Been" In History.

  • Only Play#2 was played at Chicago

  • I've seen that play from another angle and Jordan clearly barely touched Russell, it looks bad from the angle they always show. You can see after the play no Jazz player is saying there should have been a foul call. And the kid saying Jordan and Rodman fouled Malone to get the ball is dead wrong. And I do think they got away with fouls that other teams didn't as part of their unleashing the doberman defense back then but not in that sequence.

  • I wanted the Bulls to win this so badly back in 1998 because I was 9 years old and loved MJ, but that was an obvious foul on Malone to steal the ball, Rodman was all over him grabbing his jersey and then Jordan tripped him. Still, I wish MJ hadn't retired and stuck around to knock off the Lakers in the finals the next few years...

  • 3:10 what a joke Jordan totally pushed off on Russel should've been offensive foul and I don't care how much time was left a foul is a foul

  • @690169 that wasn't a foul back then cause players were allowed to get away with more. and Russel wouldn't have been able to get back for to stop that and Jordan didn't even push him. it was more of a ass tap than anything

  • the lakers got swept and like they made it to the finals 3 times in a row like i watched naba all my life and it doesnt make sense what stern wanted to keep them lakers away it doesnt make sense it just doesnt

  • stop at 3:16 michaels ankle is on the ground

  • I wonder what number one is?

  • NBA OWES JAZZ A CHAMPIONSHIP

  • @46Imthebest Jazz, Kings, probably Mavs.

  • seriously , the #2 should be 1 ! I mean. are you kidding me.? what a move

  • Sorry Karl, you suck.

  • Lets give the greatest player ever some credit, michael crossed him and elevated have you seen MJ get blocked on that type of jumpshot ever, Russel over played the drive and MJ made history. 1990's was the peak of NBA basketball lead by the Master of Basketball Michael Jordan

  • hands down for malone and stockton. u guys deserved a ring

  • Probably one of the best NBA Finals series ever, if not the best.

  • seriously, can you make a better situation than #1? hell to the fucking no.

  • #10 LMFAO priceless

  • 0:15 the rodman shrug

    LOL

  • stockton deserves a ring

  • @badabumbadabing1 no, michael deservs his 6

  • The greatest Nba finals shot ever. he made Russel fall on the floor and just put the english on the shot and than kept his hand up,, probably one of the cleanest shots ever (Swishhhh)

  • Don't get me wrong but Kobe's form is similar to Mike.

  • mj the greatest of all time

  • I was living in Utah during this time (unfortunately and against my will).

The greatest time was right after that MJ shot. Oh how sweet it was tasting the bitter tears of Utahns all over the state as they complained about the MJ pushoff and how close they came!

  • #2 was amazing. I bet when when Kobe does that, he will overact like crazy. MJ keep it cool like it was any other shot.

  • when when when?? How can one stutter on a computer???

Kobe has done that. He hasn't OVERREACTED (not "overact").

    GET IT STRAIGHT!!

  • Oh I'm sorry. Did you replay back to my comment just to let me know I misspelled one word? How do you stutter on a computer? Please explain the stutter part. Oh yeah Kobe OVERREACTED a lot. Even a dunk, he gives a body language. Not to mention a jump shot. If your telling me Kobe doesn't overreact more then MJ. Then I don't know what game your watching.

  • ur right dude 2 was unbelievable and kobe would overreact but i dont think kobe can even do a move like that not even when he was 24 MJ was like 36 when he did this

  • when i havent seen him in what finals game

  • And it is the FINALS that's the best part

    where magic happens then

  • @thelittlemanus630

    why must you mention kobe?

actually when Kobe makes plays like that he also keeps it "cool" just lke Micheal Jordon.

However lets not mention him again.

Lets resume talking about the 1998 nba finals please.

    Thank you

  • I love in #9 how Stockton pointed to Malon after making the 3 pointer. The quiet guy has got some emotion. Yeah Jordan fouled Russel (play 1) but with 14 seconds left in Game 6 of the N.B.A. Finals Jordan was going to have to break his arm to get a foul called. I'm not saying I agree with it, I'm sayign that's just the way it is.

  • really that push sent him three to four feet passed him? com'on that push couldn't do that

  • As a jazz fan, it hurts to watch this.

But, this was the golden age for the NBA.

MJ is a true legend, and if it were anyone else, the Jazz would have gotten 2 championships. I have a great amount of respect for MJ.

Stockton and Malone were the greatest duo ever and deserved a championship.

  • Actually the greatest duo ever would be MJ and Pip. But I absolutely loved the Malone and Stockton duo. I have a lot of respect for those two.

  • imao did not expect that from rodman..20 footer?? expect the unexpected i guess

  • push but no foul!!!

in 90's there was no foul but with the new rules there is a foul!!!

    legendary last shoot!!!!big big shoot!!!

when your the GOAT you take the risk!!!!

    MJ we miss you!!!

  • was Jordan guarding Stockton?

  • No.2-nice circus shoot

  • jordan is truely the greatest basketball player ever. if you look at his top plays through out his career, one thing is evident. he's always wearing red. that means jordan performed even better on the road than he did at home. just look for jordan vs the knicks for starter, he had his greatest performaces against the knicks at MSG(madison square garden). that's what a top player does. he comes into your home, whoops your ass, eats your food and leaves with your girl.lol

  • You have to remember a lot of the games in Cleveland too. Jordan on at least 3 different occasions hit buzzer beaters in Cleveland, 2 of them to end a playoff series. So not only did he step up on the road, but he stepped up on the road when it mattered.

  • yep.

  • i think the top play should be....that time when stockton drived into Rodman and sent him flying, flying about 4 feet in the air, that was the GREATEST charge dennis ever drew, cant remember which game tho

  • Did the Bulls always clinch the championship away from Chicago??

  • Of the 6 championships, they won 3 in Chicago ('92, '96, and '97).

  • Michael Jordan el mejor en la historia del basquetbol... no habrá otro como él.... the best player on earth.

  • Everyone pushes off when they're driving. You can see it now in the NBA in 2009. The only reason people want to press this is because of how dramatic the sequence was. Every NBA player uses their off hand to gain space on drives when they're about to shoot. It gives them extra space. It allows them to re-balance themselves too.

  • backing backing, pumping pumping falling falling.. lol

  • OMG I just had this weird trip !

Imagine if at 0:56, you see Stock,in slowmotion, soaring above the rim and catching Malone's alley oop pass and throwin it down hard on MJ and sitting on his shoulders like they always do hahaha !!

  • mj made that basket spot on ,, am i right? :P yay mj

  • I think Russell sometimes wakes up in the middle of the night and sees Mike jumping while he's still on the ground ... Soooooooo dramatic lol

  • @buch1 he might, but i bet looking back, he realizes he never had a chance

  • MJ THE BEST !!

  • 100% of the crowd in Utah is white. I just realized that

  • Your in denial. Sssume Jordans hand didn't touch Russel as he broke his ankles. Do you really think that Russel would have been able to stop, recover and get back to Jordan to block or disrupt that shot? That question is not even debatable. Get over it. Jordan barely touched him, and it wouldn't have mattered anyway!

  • @julielittlebuns yeah, it didn't really matter. Utah shouldnt have put themselves in a position where one shot could win it, if that kept happening the entire game i could understand but one play? Come on, Jordan schooled Russell

  • @julielittlebuns EXACTLY!!these pathetic cry baby jazz fans who are just jealous coz they were simple not good enough to beat mj and the bulls!!and 46mbest shut up your turd you say the nba owes the jazz a championship?LMFAO!!!after jordans amazing game 5 flu game in the 1997 finals with mj playing on fumes and still managed 40 ppg and hits winning 3 should have deserved another 5 rings you wanker!!that performance is why mj is the best ever!!he never quits like kobe did v dallas!LOL

  • encore michael

  • I just wish this series had Marv Albert at the mike instead of Bob Costas. Costas was ok, but nothing can beat the sound of Marv!

  • Best Basketball Player

  • hahaha, last 4 are all MJ's plays

  • you really gotta be some freaky stupid retard mental to not like MJ, MJ beats´em all, he´s the best sport player in history, i say that and i´m not even from the US. I feel blessed for watching that NBA final Jazz vs Bulls, it was everything about michael

  • the flu game, was inspiring. even though he was sick, he managed to do his best and he did.

  • Michael is your father, because he FUCK your mother...Call him daddy!!!...uuaahahahahahahah!!!!

  • God bless you!!!

  • yo mj is the best player with out a daught but he pushed of mj is my favorite player but look at his hand he push off and i love jordan sneakers but he pushed off

  • if jordan did??? why russel didnt argue that he was push off???? thats not a push off... russel was pushed called inertia. A physical body will remain at rest, or continue to move at a constant velocity along a straight path, unless an external net force acts upon it.

  • Yes indeed, MJ pushed Russel, but I think that was part of the game, that was the trick, like Stockton had to elbow everyone if he wanted to make drive.

  • MJ didn't push off...his hand swiped Russell's back. MJ's shake n'bake move all but snapped Russel's ankles. Everyone in Utah calls it a foul, as opposed to the rest of the NBA nation...and the state of Utah still thinks they're right. Yah, 1 state vs. 49 others, please.

  • ur an idiot azdude. you can see his hand obviously push byron russel but the refferee was on the other side of the court, the right side from mjs perspective, and couldnt see the push. if the refs dont see it, it isnt a foul.

  • I can see the hand, it brushed his backside (perhaps copping a feel?) but Russel's ankles were snapped by arguably the best player in the NBA. His momentum carried him forward as MJ cut back. Why is it that only Jazz fans and most people in Utah are the only people in the country who think that it was a foul? Petty argument bootely.

  • The Only People on the Planet not just US to think tha is a foul.

  • The only people it matters to though, in the end, are the refs...if that "no call" happened in the 1st quarter and not the 4th, nobody ever would have noticed it because the game wouldn't have been on the line at that point.

  • LOL. You are a complete fucking idiot azdude81. Mike has said himself that he pushed off. But, its not a foul unless the referees see it and call it and all the greats push the limit to what they can get away with. Don't be an idiot though Azdude. You sound dumb. We all have eyes and can see what happened

  • Show me the proof Michael said that. Every player knows how to act, just look at the floppers in this league. You sound like a piss poor Utah Jazz fan that can't get over something that happened more than 10 years ago. Your a dumb shit if I've ever heard one. BTW, with all these "brilliant" comments on here, what makes mine dull my intelligence more than the others? You don't know me like that, so mind your own business asshole.

  • my friend after the end of the finals, Carr(the player who was guarding mj) said that he didn't push him. but one way or another mj left the nba without anyone can take tha nba championship from him.

  • mj the great greatest shot i have ever seen in my life nothing can ever and i mean ever compare to that

  • I'm not particularly a fan of his, but he's taken better...but those others weren't as meaningful as any in the finals.

  • futuremissionary get over it you sad tosser!!so what if it was a push off?jazz lost the series when they got destroyed and posted the worst finals score ever!!you had 2 chances to beat the bulls in the finals and you lost both times.......one reason only coz of mj!!i mean he even beat your sorry ases with the flu and still burns you for 45!!!

  • johnnycage get a life you stupid prick!!yes jordan did push him,but russel didnt fall because of that he fell coz he lost his footing and slipped!!!and he is michael jordan you tossher he can do what he wants and says and always backs it up!!!no go play with your momma!!

  • The best play was the Fadeaway on Hornacek.....AND1.

  • Michael's Dagger on Game 6 was the best moment on NBA History. BTW, THat's not a push. That's a sweet sweet old skul Michael Jordan Deception Trick!

  • he obviously pushed him. anybody who doesn't think so is either blind or retarded.

  • watch it in slow-mo side view

  • the truth is.....Russell told the press:"Jordan didn't push me."..u guys may search from the net.

  • This series was the finale to when the NBA was great. The NBA just hasnt been the same since 98'.

  • I hear ya. The Laker dynasty was fun to watch, but nothin compared to the MJ years. Plus, ABC has shitty coverage now.

  • well its kindo obvious

  • Good shot, but clearly it was a push off! Yes, Yes I'm still bitter that there was a no call...

  • I don't think Michael really pushed Russell at all. Russell just lost his balance, that's all.

  • seriously? Just look at the video! You can see Jordan's hand touching Russell and you can even see his hand bend when he pushes him. Clearly a foul. It was a great shot, but lets be honest if it wasn't Michael Jordan he probably would not have gotten away with it.

  • i kinda agree

  • I disagree. This is not about the push. It's about Russell. Look at his legs. He moved to the left a little too much and he slipped

  • I'm very happy that Michael Jordan's game-winner came at #1

  • Why wouldn't it? That was a Career capper and season finale in 1998
