This is another one of Roy Orbison's best tunes you felt should've gotten heard more but it would be years before people would re-discovered his music again. This was one of Roys best tunes during his tenure at MGM and the perfect song to end after a long day good night.
this is my favourite track from roy mr sadness i call him when he sings you feel like crying this song brings sad memories for me the day i heard it my wife walked thats life
When Roy was younger he sometimes had "tournaments" in the clubs he played at "who hits the highest notes?" Of all Orbisongs this one contains the highest note Roy ever sung afaik. (I can reach it too but who am I im comparison to the Big O? :) )
Wow thanks for posting this song, love both versions of this song...this is the LP version. The single version is outstanding, he seemed to have put more into the single version...regardless this is a masterpiece of a song that should have charted in 1973. Thanks for sharing this wonderful gem.

What can be said about this True Man & Great Singer
To Me he WAS the Voice & This From An Elvis Fan
But he truely Was The Best at these Type Sad Ballads
How the Man ever Got back up To Perform from His
Real Life Tragedy's amazes Me !!
You would never tell from his Performances what he
Had Gone through. One Man a Voice & Legend
His Like Will Never be Seen again
As Elvis and Many Others of His Era.

You have my sympathy....and I agree...Roy's voice expresses universal pain...
