  • sounds sick bro, good car, ur first video untunes without blower i was like uhhh, didnt sound healthy sounded like i wouldnt really run it, but this video it sounds amazing, good work ^^, cant wait to build mine next year :)

  • @thyreapu mean man I never felt comfortable with the way it sounded before the tune at all. The tune was a night and day difference. good luck on your build!

  • @swooshonln man* dunno why I wrote mean sorry

  • haha sick now cant wait to get some in my stang

  • does the car shake now with the cam

  • @horn256 makes drunk people sick haha (was a DD, dont drink and drive!)

  • nice stang right there

  • are this cams stage1 or 2 they sound great

  • @miltongon1 stage 2 comp cams 270ah w/ springs and retainers.

  • is the car jerky in regular driving speeds and taking off normal speed...can u feel a BIG difference in this since stock

  • how much did the exhuast and cams cost...including having them out in???

  • @ROBBY639 Well, ~current list prices right now: Borla Stingers: $600, BBK H-Pipe: $150, BBK Ceramic Long-Tubes: $600, Comp Cams XE270AH: $600, Springs+Retainers: $270, That does not include tune (~$250 a pop) and defiantly does NOT include shop Labor (almost the same as parts). Of course, what I paid was different, just an Idea of if you where to do it now. Tune cannot be avoided.

  • dude what is the idle RPM set at?

  • @warrior102 around 800

  • you have any problem with PTV clearance?

  • @warrior102 no I dont, but I think the shop that installed them degree'd them a tad. I am not sure tho. You will need a good tune though once installed.

  • Sounds like its hungry ~ Quick, feed it a honda!

  • stock camshaft opens both the intake and exhaust valves 0.444 inch at maximum valve lift. Both valves are open 210 degrees of crankshaft rotation when measured from 0.050 inch of valve lift

  • Do you have High flow heads or a Aftermarket Throttle-body?

  • stock heads and stock throttle-body.

  • Wow, To be putting down 288 with stock Heads and Throttle body is awesome. A friend of mine is going to get cams and port n polish the heads while their off. ill let you know the numbers when he does it. He already has the throttle body and other bolt-ons.

  • @swooshonln if you put a 70-75mm tb and intake plenum you prolly gain 40-50hp because of all the air flow gain

  • @askloglog yeah for sure. I actually do have a 78mm TB on there now that I installed once I added the blower. Defiantly overkill for any N/A applications but it works very well for me now. Its made by BBK and its nice because the T/B and Plenum are the same piece, so there is no need to by both pieces separate.

  • How is your cammed GT not even making 300 at the wheels with a custom tune??

  • haha I don't even wana hear it. I have spent too must money in this car to get such a low HP number. HOWEVER, the car looks/sounds badass, which is half the fun.

I know, it sucks I got to throw this T-Trim on to make 400+ to the wheels.... but you know what? Its worth every penny ;-) haha

  • anyone knows if the comp cams xe 274h have clearance issues,i have stock motor in my mustang gt 01,thanks !

  • are those the stage 3? I know that I wouldn't do anything "more aggressive" then my cam or you will deff have some clearance issues on stock heads. (not sure the specs on the 274)

  • sounds bad ass how much was the install

  • @03GTjared about as much as the cams + valve springs + tune

  • Did you have to notch your pistons with the xe270ah. Cause i know you have to with the xe278ah.

  • No, there are no clearance issues with the 270AH's

I have heard if you do anything larger then stage 2 (i.e. stage 2.5, stage 3) you will have some clearance issues

  • Ok thanks man

  • It might actually be beneficial especially when i upgrade my tune to get more air to fuel. I'm not going to enlarge them a lot, but new injectors is always a new way to gain power, and i want to go get a good 60-80 hp out of this, so i am doing it all. Will also add air intake, throttle body and plenum. Intake manifold soon after.

  • I bet it's worth. I will not sleep right until i can get in my car and hear that idle. Just thinking about it is getting me hyper. I'm one step closer, i got some MAC headers yesterday for about 150$ or 100 US let's say. I still need some bigger injectors, retainers, springs and rockers, and then of course the cams. Finish it off with a tune or a predator diablo sport

  • you really don't need injectors with what you are going to do with your car. Unless you are going to S/C down the line, and even then, you will need diff "s/c" cams

  • how bad ? like what was it at before ? not just mpg but how many miles would your tank usually last from full to empty ? i do about 350-400 kilometers, um i think that adds up to about 240 miles and under

  • well, Ill put it this way. I use to fill up once a week, now with the added cams (same driving habits), I have to fill up about once every 5 days instead of 7

  • Wow, fucking right. Than i guess im ordering some 270's!! what else did you put on ? Springs and rollers from who and what about injectors , are they stock ?

  • with the cam install, I also replaced the stock valve springs and retainers with Comp Cam valve springs and retainers

stock injectors. They can deliver more then enough fuel.

P/S your gas millage is going to really go south once you get your cams installed & tune
