@guitarhead911 cheers, it's a Fender deluxe hot rod with non-standard tubes (Russian + German).. the amp that's half in view is my trusted Roland Jazz Chorus...
Great stuff man, reminds me a lot of an old Jean Michel Jarre tune. I just couldn't figure out which one, as his songs don't have really unique names, just carrying the name of the album + a number =).
@Wildchild880 cheers mate - I like using my fingers..I'd like to see someone doing it with a volume pedal at this tempo!! maybe a former tap dancer.....
Bro, that is really cool, I like it. It's tricky stuff keeping that volume swell accurate.
I can tell it's pre recorded but even so, awesome idea and a great piece of music.
My Ibanez gat has the volume swell right up next to the bottom E like nothing I've ever seen befor (it's a rare one) and I still could not volume swell like that. I have spent more time on apregio sweeping though rather than volume swells.
I am now very inspired to go practice the volume swell at higher speeds.
@phrygianlydian awesome, that makes me very happy! It's not pre-recorded though - Audio/video were recorded simultaneously, although SEPERATELY - that's how I panned the channels.. Best, Quist
Great work, my mistake. Keep at it mate. I'll check out your other stuff when I find the time and give you my opinion on those tracks. I'll also pass this on to my gat mates. Cheers.
That's pretty awesome, Dude! It reminds me of this one Kings of Leon song. Of course Matt Followill cant play nearly as well as you can. Sweet Jam!!!!
@QuistTV Yeah, I dont like any new bands out right now. They pretty much all suck. When you idolize people like David Gilmore, and Randy Rhodes, it's hard to find a guitar player that acutally impresses me. Know what I mean. However....KoL is a culmination of like the last 10-15 years of new bands. They arent great musicians, but they have a unique sound and alot of PASSION in their music which is something that comtemp music really lacks today!
@Diffle Yeah, of course I am. I just named two of my favorite guitarists in that other post. I like all 4 of those guys you mentioned. Others I admire are Stanley Jordan , Slash, Jeff Beck, Eric Johnson, Adrian Legg, Victor Wooten (Bass), ect....
@Diffle I can dig Gilbert and Satch, but regardless how talented they are, I just can't get into Vai, and as far as Buckethead, I just can't bring myself to take a guy wearing a greasy KFC bucket on his head seriously...
@WielderOfTheSteel Good thing he stopped wearing that Buckethead over a year ago then! KFC threatened to sue him over it. So he just wears a plastic white bucket now.
@Diffle Diffle, I can't say I blame them. Granted, everyone has an "image," and he's certainly entitled to his, but personally, I think he looks like an absolute tool. I can deal with the Michael Myers mask, but the bucket is just...too much?
@WielderOfTheSteel I guess to each their own, I think it's pretty funny. His backstory is that he was raised in a chicken coop by chickens, so he wore the KFC bucket with a funeral sticker on it, since his story is that he was raised by chickens. It's just all fun and games.
@Diffle Nothin' wrong with having a sense of humor about it. After all, it is rock n' roll. At least he didn't make up a story that he was from the ghetto like Vanilla Ice, when in fact the guy grew up in a upper-middle-class neighborhood.
This is totally awsome man! Can't stop listening :)

what you got your delay set too ???? awesome stuff ;)
bluearch5000 1 year ago
@bluearch5000 it's a slap back delay, just one repetition.. so basically every other note is produced by the delay..
