seriously NOT the cleanest way to be done. instead of cutting it along that bed seam, leave at least 1-2 inches of material and use 8-10" wide of thin sheet metal, tech screw it in place once u get the fender pulled out to desired width using a bottle jack or strap to something solidthat wont move. that waythe damn wheel well is covered up and it looks clean and notall booger welds or the thin ass metal wont have burnt through...asfor the bedside supports....use a whole piece of that stock
very nice idea, instead of welding "tickets" could you just bend a piece of flat sock and weld it all the way around? cause i live in wisconsin and the salt in the winter would do wonders in the new openeings in the fender

i did this with my truck pulled it out about 3 inches had no crease in it at all and looks sick and saves u money by not buying fiberglass fenders.
