She is so beautiful!!! and great man what an awesome Talent and passion in dancing the tahitian dance and she does it so great !!! She is mix with Tahitian and smething else.. Beautiful !!!! keep up the good work Myshka...<3<3'
All the people the keep making comments about this being a dance not suited for younger girls, you're all being idiots! I'm part of Leinani Hula Hui'ana and our halau is made mostly of girls under the age of 10. Our youngest dancer is 18 months old. They have fun dancing to tahitian. It's up beat and a change in pace from our other Polynesian dances. Heck, our Mini Keiki always want to solo!
When I was her age I also danced and singed at home!! But this little girl has a full stadium and dancers arround!! Mental Note to those that have kids: Pay attention to your kids' virtudes and explote them!! ASAP!
Juju do you dance? Are u aware that Tahitian dance would use there dancing to lure sailors that visited the islands? Anyone in there right mind can see that this dance is SEXUAL even if its not the intention of these little innocent girls. I teach Tahitian & am well aware of the history. mahalo.
shes good. but why does this little girl get so much "shine"? I've seen many other little girls better..... The young girl in the group dance just as good as Myshka. Is she the leaders daughter. Also Tahitian really is a sexual dance not traditionally ment for little girls!!
@ohawaiki She was chosen by the Kumu to perform as a Princess on our production at the San Jose Fete. She is not the leader's daughter but was taught by the Kumu and Kumu's daughter. Tahitian dance does implicit sexuality only after Tahiti was colonized but in its original context, Tahitian dance is a celebration of nature carrying aesthetics and metaphors of life. Our Keiki dancers love to dance to the Tahitian drum beats which keeping the Tahitian culture and history alive.
@checkervideo ...true. Tahitian was definetly sexualized after colonization but its still a sexual dance. Flip it anyway u want. I'm a Tahitian Dance instuctor in New York & Hawai'i. My point was that it seems like theres ALOT of favoritism toward this little girl & shes not that good. Singing lessons? I like the little girl in the group better =)
@ohawaiki well if the ori is passed down from mother to daughter and taught at an early age in Tahiti, then I dunno why u say traditionally not meant for little girls, and if u already teach ori, then I dunno what the fuzz is all about jeeze!
Very cute and talented!
