thanks this is a really good explanation, you made it very easy.

but i do have a question... i've done everything as you have said and it has all worked. although, when i put them on my iphone the ringtones came up and were playing but when i set one of them as my default ringtone and i got a call the regular 'marimba' ringtone played. do you know what i can do?

I have not tried it yet but there is a website where u can for free get ringtones from like any artist. Its a great site, it has multiple song files for each song and tells you how long they are. U can preview the entire song, and u can click "Get this as a ringtone on the side for free.

I have no idea about the 3g to be honest !

I suppose it will because they run on the same version on itunes and the iphones are brothers so i suppose they will have the same software etc.

I would try it, there isnt anything to lose!
