motherfckers allways talkn about oldschool, fuck the 90's quit livn in the goddam past you where VERGINS then and your VERGINS now its fuckn 2000000011 u terds
@LesterWoody you must be a baskethead, you are the reason why music is garbage...because you love those rundown, ringtones tunes ciara types singing asses. Grown Up!
I had never seen this video and yet this is like my number one song of all time! no matter how much music is released out there, this is the song that for me defined and even taught me music. Thank you HN....For just this, I've subscribed to your channel...
I havent heard this song since I was the size of Steve Urkel when he first debuted on Family Matters lol. And I still <3 this throwback from Angie Stone. I think she defines the real Vertical Hold in all of R&B music. We need 2 bring back beautiful music like this includ. R.Kelly, Aaliyah, TLC, etc. Dub!
@AlimG52 I could not agree more. R&B during this age still had an air of originality and funk about it that required talent and song writing skill. Today's rap and R&B (if you want to call it that) is shit!
Angie has been in the music industry for quite some time now. She is very underated. Can't put your finger on her because she is all in the music industry and deep. Good work Angie, I'll just be listening for you. Love your music.
I was on stage with angie as one of the opening acts back round singer and we had our whole set pulled with a possible fight about to break out. I had to play bouncer instead of sing. they only let the artist go out on stage with an acoustic guitar and 3 singers. the next day we did the whole show at 6 am live on the radio. I still love angie.
Even back then the music business was hung up on size just like today. The whole video of Angie is done in shadow. No wonder the album sales are low. They need to appreciate good music no matter the size of the artist.
@mesmerize611 That was obvious!!! Look at how Martha Wash was treated!!! She sang lead vocals for both Blackbox, and C&C Music Factory, yet she wasn't featured in the videos for those songs!!!
Blackbox's song(s) that she sang lead on were "Everybody, Everybody", and "Strike It Up", and C&C Music Factory's was "Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)".
@mesmerize611 I know that is so right. I remember when CC & the music factory replaced Martha Wash for the skinny chic in their videos and she sued them. Their excuse was she was too big. That is said you wouldn't think the 80's and 90's was like that.
I fell in love with this song tha first time i heard it and now i want to sample it and make a song out of it but first i gotta find a way to incorporate angie stone into tha song so she wont sue lol its a hit tho
Yo!! David Bright was my boy in HS. We used to cut class and play on the 1st floor piano in JFK HS. I love this SONG!!!

Great R&B track. Wish R&B was more like this now than the rap and bulls**t we currently hear so much on the airwaves
