These exercises look more like aerobic sessions that focus on building strength more than body recomposition. They all don't look very massive but on screen people always look like 20lbs bigger than they are and with camera angles and professional photography you can create angles that make people appear to be larger and taller than they are. I saw Stallone in RL and he is a midget compared to me and I am not even a professional bodybuilder.
i wouldn't even care if i wasn't in the movie 300 or even if i didnt get paied. i would just love to be able to train with the equipment these guys are supplied with
and the only gym anywhere near me is a really cheap one (not cheap to get into but cheap as in low budget... just the basic stuff)
GOD DAMN THIS IS INTENSE !!! I'm gonna try some of these things .... FANTASTIC upload ! I have my own video on a variation of the 300 Workout - check it out :)
:) there are also loads of different workouts based around this form of traing, try researching the bodyweight 500, thats hard, and even the bodyweight 1000! this way of training is awsome
Well, why doesn't anyone from Gym Jones or Mark Twight himself take their superior training to the crossfit games and test their program???? Let's put all the talk to rest and see who's program is better? I want to see the Gym Jones camp at the 2010 games!
@cmsanders3m Or we could just respect both training paradigms because both groups are working hard to achieve a common goal, differing only in their approach.
Rip off? grow up some people have been training like this for years, the fittest person in my gym is 52 (here in the uk) he has no computer never heard of any of these people and has been training like this for 30 years! just enjoy your own training guys!!
People have no knowledge of history. Body weight workouts have been done since the beginning of civilization and the creation of soldiers (in the broadest sense of the term).
this guy loves smashin dudes he he

For those who want to train like this, look up your local Crossfit gym, its nearly identical.
For those who just want to LOOK like the guys in 300, try P90X.

This is a complete rip-off of Crossfit. Mark Twight didn't invent anything new. He simply took someone else's ideas and pawns them off as his own.

Go look at the recent workouts from gymjones' site. It is 3x harder and longer than crossfit, Similar concept, made into something harder.

Rambo551 is right. twight is not stealing anything from anyone.

I believe Andrei Arlovski has been training with them (although that is completely based on rumor), and he kicked ass in his last match.
