USMC MOS: Infantry - Enlisted

I've wanted to be a U.S Marine since i was 5 ... But i was never sure if i would get to pick infantry as a definate choice or what. I want to be a 03xx.But skepticals believe me not.If anybody can message me and tell me how i would get a definate 03xx Contract.

You need a 55 on the asvab to get into five year infantry. 4 year infantry you need like a 52 or something.

All you people who keep saying i want to be a marine but not infantry, you can do other MOS's but your still infantry. Every job in the corp is infantry based wheather its from supply to a tanker. Im going to be a combat enginer officer in the corp and blow shit up like a fucking devil dog i am!!

well if i were you i would go with mp i am like you i want boots on the groumd stuff just not inf i am 16 but i am definently gonna enlist. with mp u get to train as a cop wich is fun but u still get deployed and u do a lot of inf stuff well good luck with choosing the mos but definently dont forget that in the end its the corps decision.

While I am still currently trying to get in, the best advice I can give... is that go for the MOS that will help you in the future. For example, if U want to be a Cop, go in as a MP. If you want to be an Mechanic, go for somethin in that. While I want the Infantry, I am also looking into either Public Affairs. Look at all the different MOS's there are and see which ones interest you the most.

Nice vid man. I want to become a Marine, but the problem is, IDK what MOS I want. I'm definintely enlisting, and I like boots-on-the-ground work but I'm not interested in Infantry. I want something that isn't really technical and complicated. I was going to go Combat Engineer, but I don't have the smarts for it (if you know what I mean). With the stuff I just told you, what MOS do you think would work for me?

@Sniperhound4 Just remember, In the end, the Corps has the final say in it. It all depends on what MOS is filled up or not and what Marines they need for each one.

The Army was happy to send me to Infantry and Airborne School to be a Paratrooper . No offense Devil Dog ! I have family in the Corps too and they got to be Marine Infantrymen . I saw them in Kuwait going to An Bar in 08 after my 2 tours in Iraq . Semper Fi and Airborne Brother !

@0311Duce My MOS is 0621, Field radio operator, which basically is infantry, you call in fire support, etc, and basically live with the grunts and do the same grunt training. I signed my enlistment papers about middle june and I got to choose when I go to boot camp

I got my first official communication from the marine corps today, addressed to my parents informing them and me the applicant (Note I am still 16) I had contacted my local recruiter, I was informed they had a file ready with my name. This is the best day of my life so far.
