Amazing game. Probably one of my 3 favourites in the FF series. The music really helps, as well. Makes every single place and battle have an amazing atmosphere. I've only played it on the SNES though, no new-fangled DS or PSP version for me!

I love this game more now that the PSP one came out and is no longer 3-D. Yes, I have all the FF4 games, and the DS one, not to hate on it, but was my least favorite, simply because it was 3-D, and because they were al in Chibi form and it didn't make people look fierce, and instead made it look like you just wanna pinch their little cheeks XD

I think it was a good way to make the characters in 3D while still trying to be faithful to the original 2D look.

4 of course is most memorable to me being my first. 3 was my 2nd... meh and i got on 6 and its definitely worth the time. After that not all that interested. 7 If so many people werent riding clouds/sephiroths nuts all the time

IV-X are the best, and I think I like the 6th one the best despite only watching it and not even playing it.

I only got VII, Crisis Core, Dirge of Cerberus, VIII, X, and XII, and played some of IX from my uncle. For spin-offs I got some Crystal Chronicle games and FFF: Chocobo's Dungeon. I don't like CC though, as with XII, but I sort of like The Crystal Bearers.

When Cecil is almost defeated by Golbez, the Mist dragon appears, the music changes to this and Rydia returns in battle: definitely one of the most epic moments in the series.

@Koopsas That's up to you. If you want 3D graphics, voices and a good challenge, go with the DS. I've only played the PS1 version, so I'd recommend that one the most. It's got the original (better) music and everything runs smoothly.

That's one of the things I liked about the older games. Sometimes the boss tracks for some games are "meh" but the good ones like this really make the fight seem like it's an urgent victory or you will cause the world to end. :P

I'm kind of surprised it took so long for this to make the list. This is my most favorite boss battle theme of all time. It gives you that "Oh, crap! Can I win this fight?" feeling and doesn't let up.

Although, is there really a weak piece of music on this soundtrack? I think not! =D

I just recently replayed the DS version, and I actually thought that the hardest of the four, was Scarmiglione was the hardest one (the first time you meet him, on the mountain)

A really great game, I think that anyone with a Wii or DS should buy it!

No, no it is not. Many of the bosses have been givin new counter attacks and what not. So, mash attack to win doesn't always work out.
