@DahRocker You would use the Bag Valve Mask or a Faceshield. You can get one through ProCPR's website, if you need one. We sell keyrings with gloves and faceshields.
I am doing a first aid course in Australia, our CPR method is similar except for the following differences: before checking for breathing we check the mouth to ensure the airway is clear; we do not at any stage check for pulse, but commence CPR if breathing is absent. 2 breaths/ 30 compressions in 24 seconds. Apparently if the person is not breathing the heart wont be beating for very long anyway, so no need to check for pulse.
@53531640 actually its very important to check for a pulse, it gives you a sense of how long the person has been without breathing i recommend that every CPR class teaches checking for a pulse I am an EMT so I know the importance
@chahakkai Actually It Is not important because this is an emergency situation also even if you don't know the person is alive and you begin CPR it does not harm the patient.
