  • Awesome!

Check this out as well - see video reponse.

  • i'm laid up recovering from knee surgery and lookin at a lot of youtube last coupla days and seeing if maybe i can expand the neil young area of my repertoire and this is by far the loveliest thing i've seen. good lord, what luck to stumble upon it. thanks so much for making such beautiful work and sharing it with us.

  • @thatmotski

you're welcome! thanks for the kind comments. This was one of our first videos 3 1/2 years ago. I'm glad someone still likes it. I hope your knee gets well soon. I have RA and know that it sucks to be laid up.

  • love the bass...my suggestion is play it in G with cappo 3rd fret because most ppl struggle with the range on this!

  • Pretty cool, pretty neat

  • ive allways enjoyed your vids.

  • what r the chords?????

  • a G then a C then a Bm then to a D keep listing to neil and watch hes vids. youl get it.

  • nice job, 1st version of this tune I could actually hear the lyrics

  • good times, good times! fun fun....

  • i like it! nice bass...good mix...didn't know they had video cameras back in the 1800's...ha ha One of my favorites

  • mesmerising

  • I don't know...but lately I find it just plain pathetic for people to post covers of other artists original songs...esp. Neil Young-to whom I am partial to.

But then again, nobody is forcing me to watch it and this is still a free country...so what the heck does my opinion matter??? That's just how I feel about it and I've said my peace.

  • I find the covers are a nice change from the originals. One cover of this song is better than ANY I have heard.

  • pathetic?? Can't I pay tribute to my musical hero?? I have originals on here too.

  • You tell 'em Miker2..Neil is one of my greatest influences (along with the GOD..Eric Clapton)for playing guitar. Simplicity is sometimes soooooo much better than all the shredding and no-see-fingers-for-a-while-as-they-are-too-fast...(vai, malmsteen etc) and the songs that Neil has written are just incredible. Oh..Good Job on the harmonica too. I should learn to play one of those. Tell Birde good job on the bass too. Nice work guys!!

    Best o' luck

    Dave.

  • yes dloud2002, I have allways said that neil is a geunus for his aproach on his martins.

  • I find it pathetic that people post other artist's original songs, Sappy. And that's all you've ever posted. Playing familiar songs is how people motivate to learn to play. The more the better! Go Miker!

  • pick up ye axe and post yer next original, soverysappy!

  • have you never listen to a song and wanted to learn it..when you do its like hell yeah i kicked its ass...then you just wanna show people who give a fuck..which apparently isnt you..so why concern yourself

  • @SoVerySappy why should it bother you that other people wanna have fun and jam songs and pay tribute the their fav artist ,,, personally i think you should of kept that pathetic comment to yourself !

  • Hey Mike! Thanks for commenting on my cover. I'm digging yours too!! Another 5*

  • cool.

  • Sounds great. Looks like it was videotaped in the 30s though. :)

  • thats what I was shootin for

  • that's right groovy..

  • awesome

  • thanks

  • Hey, I pull up a lot of videos and never finish watching many of them....but I finished listening to yours and truly enjoyed it! You've reinspired me to keep working on this guitar thing! Thanks for finding me!

  • The video has that hipppie feel to it so I'll use the word groovy. It makes me feel melancholy to think that so many years ago we were going to change the world. We have, and it ain't for the better. Is Al Gore all that's left?

  • hey man really cool. you got a nice groove happening there!and well done to the chick playing the bass.who is she?

  • the bass player for Ruthless Tom. and my gf

  • Nice Cover, I like your frill between verses, harmonica sounds great as well. Thanks for sharing.

  • sweet

  • nicely done, i liked the "stripped to the bones" feel, sounded great.

  • One of my favorite Neil songs; great job on it!

  • Excellent

  • I dig this one, its really great~ Nice harmonica playing too....

  • This is a great rendition. Nice touch on the black&white video also ...brings to mind a little ranch house in Mexico by the beach or something...sitting outside strunmming. "Birdie" is an an excellent addition also. Added it to my favorites. Thanks

  • thanks man

  • Wonderful song and great cover!

  • Just Super. This is one of my favorite Neil Young songs. You sound like Neil and your guitar playing is great

    Rocket

  • Great job! I agree with rahlgren though, sounds like your straining the vocal. I liked the playing and the feel you give the song. I'm guilty of straining my vocal a lot of the time too (my cover of New Mama).

  • Very enjoyable performance.. I thought your singing was fine..liked the harp and Birde too

  • I like it! You're really pushing your voice, though -- have you tried tuning a step down? The harp sounds nice. Acoustic Powderfinger is good....keep on rockin' -- enjoying your videos.

  • my voice would have been better if we hadn't done 2 and a half takes before this one.lol. thanks for watching!

  • I know the feeling. Even the Master himself doesn't like to over-rehearse a new tune. Nice to see a duet also, btw.
