Let me see this ting in action. So far it reads like a slow-poke. Also HONDA is the only company that would call an FF car a sports car... And is the only company that could rightly get a way with it, I guess.
That's no guarantee that this one will be that good. Type R's are not specifically sold in the US last time I checked. You have to go to the gray market for that. I may be wrong but I don't see many Type Rs over here. A lot of Si's and Type S's and so on.
@huligans12 The last couple of Eclipses have been disappointing though the styling of the current Eclipse is really good. A SEMA showcar with EVO IX drive parts and engine looked like what the car should be.The Celica looked okay once you got past the starfighter styling. But in either case the best versions performing never came over from Japan or were never that good.
A K20 is exactly what this car needs. I'm mystified as to why they couldn't just make a Fit Type-R (Fit w/ aK20) instead. Tuners are have been doing it for a while now.
As I am sure every single Honda Tuning fanatics.... will think about the same... but I think the coolest thing would be to integrate the IMA system onto the K20A/Z3Highoutput engine..... like 220hp...plus 20/30hp?? Won't that be best of both world.... u could run electric when u are stuck in heavy traffic... but also have the extra power when u feel like it??
true because Honda's IMA system does not allow you to run purely on electric likes the Prius does.... but however, this particular CRZ is also available with a CVT
Hah ha ha.. Europe CRZ 2+2, U.S. version 2 seater because most obese yanks can't fit in the back.. I'm sure the Euro version is definitely better and more practical.
americans care about good price europeans they want to look good and they pay more for perfection i dont know but remember honda civic si hatchback euro version was amazing type r never got to us land why??? i want to know the reason. skyline australia europe but no usa.
the ultimate goal of car companies today is to keep the images pertaining to the car, in this case the sports car, while integrating newer technologies.
As times change so will its products. As consumers, we must learn to accept the changes in the market we have initially demanded.
i remember in 2008 when they had designs for the CR-Z as a concept. But the rear design is totally different from the concept. Well at least they got the design for the shape and front. But what got me really quipped was the rear design; so sleek and futuristic.
Hmm...werry interesting. The new Crx. Its one of my favourite cars. The ED9 was a really fun to drive. I liked it much better than the 330Xd BMW...really!
Im glad that they keeped a lot of details what was nice on the earlier modell.
no they "cancelled" (postponed) it because of economic downturn, they wanted to build more sporty looking econoboxs to help sales instead of taking a gamble.
does any one know how the CR Z handles in snow w/o AWD?

I love this car, fun to drive, not too fast but it's for me is enough !

I'm still iffy about this car, I mean, it get's decent MPG's, still on the heavy side and the motor isn't that great, it's all right, but not great.
Maybe if they ditched the IMA in favor of the R18, and still trim some weight, I believe Honda would have a real hit

@Xtrachakra more like the RX8 is what you're trying to say. Still both great cars IMO. It's really hard to pull of a front grill like that.

There hybrid system does not allow you to run on Electric only, its more of a boost to the Gas motor, thats why the car has a 6 speed, and not a CVT.

looks like a prius...oh its a hybrid. i thought this was supposed to be the modern crx?
Mastecon21 2 years ago
The crx was originally marketed to be a fuel sipping 2 seat hatch, so the CR-Z is a modern reiteration.

Thats because they don't think we notice these things or care about good handling, because our American made cars are so crappy.
