I have plenty black friends, my god son is mixed, I consider more than one black person family. But the way the conversation is generally discussed, causes more trouble than it solves.

@TheJosiahMills yeah, im mixed just as your god son. i grew up in a community that was mostly white but also have a few black friends while obviously having both black in white family... i agree with you about the way it is discussed, could definitely be better. but i still do think it does need to be discussed, but as you suggest, in a much more civil and amicable matter.

By the state of the African American community today, it is obvious things have changed very little. You fail to recognize that just 50 yrs ago African Americans were looked down upon as a race and the psychological effects that can still have on a child. America created self hatred for African Americans and that cycle is not easily broken.
