I realise there are very strong opinions on both sides of the argument. The issue is not as political here in England as it is in the U.S. I believe in a woman's right to choose. I have written a thesis on Abortion. In summary I said that the fetus's self-consciousness and rationality is much much less developed than that off the mothers, these two factors seperate us from being a member of the homo-sapiens (the physical) and a person. Hence the mothers write to choose is acceptable, provided if she does it within a morally acceptable period of time, 24 weeks.

The central question: Is it a baby or a mass of tissue? If it is a baby, there is no emotional anguish that can justify killing her. To say otherwise is intellectually dishonest. All agree, it is wrong to kill an innocent person without their consent.

The mother is ALREADY giving birth....the difference in partial-birth is that the entire baby is born except for the head & then they crush it's skull. Some doctors even give the baby anesthesia because of the torture. Thank God the Supreme court had some sense....partial birth is no different than actual homicide (which homicide would be declared 5 seconds later after the last 10% was born).

I didn't make the law- don't question me about it. The law states that an abortion can be performed through all 40 weeks of gestation if maternal health is compromised. Maternal health, under the law, includes depression that needn't be clynically diagnosed. So if a woman is 9 months pregnant and states that she's depresed, she can legally have an abortion. I realise there are very strong opinions on both sides of the argument. The issue is not as political here in England as it is in the U.S. I believe in a woman's right to choose. That right must not be taken away. I realise it is unfortunate. I don't live in an ivory tower, I am aware of the reality. But if abortion were made illegal what then? It would be conducted in back street clinics where the mother could die due to botched procedure. Face the reality, abortion is sometimes necessary.

Deuteronomy 22:13-21 says if a husband marries a girl and finds her not to be a virgin, then she is to be stoned to death. Before I got married we were very careful to use protection and were very well aware of the consequences of our actions. I have written a thesis on Abortion. In summary I said that the fetus's self-consciousness and rationality is much much less developed than that off the mothers, these two factors seperate us from being a member of the homo-sapiens (the physical) and a person. Hence the mothers write to choose is acceptable, provided if she does it within a morally acceptable period of time, 24 weeks.

The central question: Is it a baby or a mass of tissue? If it is a baby, there is no emotional anguish that can justify killing her. To say otherwise is intellectually dishonest. All agree, it is wrong to kill an innocent person without their consent.
In almost all cases, viability is routinely manageable after 27 weeks (occurring as early as 21 wks). Most agree that if the baby can live outside the womb, it is a baby. After this point in development, let's find other solutions for the woman.

The mother is ALREADY giving birth....the difference in partial-birth is that the entire baby is born except for the head & then they crush it's skull. Some doctors even give the baby anesthesia because of the torture. Thank God the Supreme court had some sense....partial birth is no different than actual homicide (which homicide would be declared 5 seconds later after the last 10% was born).

I think that anybody- man or woman- should be able to control what goes on inside of their body. A person's body is the one thing in the world that cannot be taken away- rights can be lost, property can be lost, but your internal body is the one thing that you should have complete control over.

If a fetus is using my body, I want the right to say "I don't want this inside of me, I am having it removed." Unfortunately, it must die when it is removed, but it is using me, it is at my mercy, and it will be removed if I no longer wish to provide for it.

I simply do not understand how the murder of a child can be allowed in this country. We are fighting a war in Iraq right at this very moment and people are dying. partial birth abortions (which is a particular method of late-term abortion) was banned. Late-term abortions are still legal when the health of mother and fetus are effected. Health could mean depression, not clinically diagnosed. google "late term abortion care." and dr.tilly's website; You'll find a 9 month old fetus can be aborted if mommy says she's feeling blue.

I didn't make the law- don't question me about it. The law states that an abortion can be performed through all 40 weeks of gestation if maternal health is compromised. Maternal health, under the law, includes depression that needn't be clynically diagnosed. So if a woman is 9 months pregnant and states that she's depresed, she can legally have an abortion. You are confusing "patial birth (medically called: dilation and evacuation) and late term.

You need to spend a week in a Premature baby care ward and think really hard about what kind of person you are. Despite being a Democrat I can say that I'm against abortion in all cases except rape and if the mother's life is in danger, because the problem is that you cannot really set an absolute definition on the beginning of a human life.

Pro Choice is nothing but a huge marketing scheme. What choices are there really? Do they talk to pregnant woman about adoption? When there is a choice, it confuses things further. The father can say get rid of it. The girls parents can even be for the abortion at times. The practice of killing a healthy baby in the womb should have never even been created. (HOWEVER:deformities and rape are not choices - those are in injustices in themselves)
