  • Wearing gloves because the weapon gets, "super hot?" What a load of bollocks. I used the L1A1 SLR for years and on occasion poured plenty of rnds down range- I NEVER suffered hot/burnt hands! lol Stop posing-sort your abysmal wpn handling out. You wave the wpn all over the place when carrying out stoppage drills. If you behaved in such a manner on a British Army range, you would get a boot in your arse. At best, you are VERY sloppy, at worst-dangerous. I really hope you aren't ex-US military.

  • As mentioned many times before, your drills scare me...I hope your on private ground where its just you guys? Id hate to hear you'd shot some innocent yet unlucky bugger walking his dog....

I actually cringed when a bloke in another video by you guys(bigger bloke, dressed in DDPM using the SLR), found that the gun wasnt cycling and so started fiddling with the front end, without putting it on safety!

  • wtf did you do to th fal?? hahaha they are relaible as hell, at least usually

  • Your mag 'problem' is the least of your problems. Your SHITE wpns handling drills should be your main concern. I seriously hope that neither of you has served in the US military- if you have, your sloppy handling of the SLR is a damning reflection on the poor standards of the US military. Why is the wpn being waved in the air during stoppage drills? Keep it parallel to the ground & down range at ALL times. COCK, HOOK & LOOK when you have a stoppage! PISS POOR.

  • WTF you walk in front of the rifle at 1:45.

  • you guys are mentalists why on earth is the fatter one wearing that beret like that i mean well done for supporting the sas but still put the thing on riiight and nooo dont be american and blind yourself with it!

  • mate, your drills are shite. I would NOT want to be anywhere near you on a range.

  • @gasplug Good because unless you jump the Pond...you'll never have to meet me On Range...But I am coming to England next year..Want me to call you when I get there??

  • @gasplug Agreed. I have seen some poor wpns handling, but this really takes the biscuit. Stoppage drills- appallingly sloppy. Typical Septic Tanks- All The Gear-No Idea! "Dry" magazines?! WTF is that about? I used the L1A1 in the British Army, and we never had a problem with, "dry" mags. lol

  • @gasplug Comments like this are why I don't allow comments in my videos. I for one am glad sum12see made these videos. I want to find a video on proper use of a broken shell extractor for the FAL.

  • at least count to 30 with a misfire before racking the bolt.

  • @billybobsdestruction yeah, im 15 and i know that to hahaha

  • @TheBrataccas yes obviously im a virgin (sarcastic) because i think this guy is a wannabee?!?!?!? why the fuck would you want to show off your camo? and just as one of the top comments says his drills are dangerous and his range discipline is shit! and i doubt it he was in the forces at all

  • You really need to buy better ammo. Or mags. Or both.

  • his finger was over the port the round failed to eject blocked the following round witch was only part way chamberd it fired hey presto fucked make he was lucky not to lose a fingertip hope this helps

  • wtf do you need to dress up like soldiers in order to shoot guns? fucking wannabees

  • @mikeyp0131 I wear fatigues when I shoot firearms to keep up my Army training and to show off my World Camo Collection...You dont like it? Then dont watch I have plenty of watchers and subscibers to take me to the Millionth view!

  • @sum12see yea and your videos have more dislikes than likes so what does that tell you?

  • @mikeyp0131 you are obviously a virgin.

  • love it !......"clear" then fires another...hahaha

  • next time don't cheap out on the mags man.

  • I'll bet the lips on the receiver in the mag well where the bolt picks up the round had sharp edges/burs from when the receiver was milled. You have to file those down, the feed lips on the mag may have been bent out also. Otherwise I would say that the gas needed turned up a notch or two. Holy shit! just watched the rest of the video, man were those Korean mags or something? Those mags are crap either way!

  • Bad son of a bitch hahaha aha

  • it is very important to keep your mags wet when you are playing "special forces tactical operator" in the forest.

  • Have you really earned your green beret?

  • The bags where dry to huh? Or maybe you havnt cleaned it, jesus treat a weapon like that with respect

  • Cool hat. Weirdo.

  • This happened because Budman was flaunting an "Infidel" t-shirt. God doesn't like when you mock Him.

  • Well, thats unffortuante. lol

  • lol are these FALs from the 1960s?

  • oh by the way, Sweet beret haha Sike!!

  • this guy is serious? no way. haha

  • It will shoot semi on FA setting but it will jam constantly. (no its not a full auto gun) also for batf adherence the oem selector should be replaced with a us made two position switch. This is directly from atf by the way. Enjoy.

  • @duckboya5 Thanks! The SLR is a fine Combat Rifle, just takes getting used to their little quircks....

  • I hope before you got rid of that fine rifle you checked a few issues first. Gas regulator setting, cleanliness, the safety sear issue that webley 455 mentioned above, different magazines, sufficient oil on gun and another type of ammo, and selector switch setting. I built an israeli heavy barrel fal years ago wich functions flawlessly but it will the exact same thing if the selector is not on the semi position. If the original selector is used, it will shoot (semi auto) on the FA position

  • I love how negative and ignorant most youtube posts are. Fals are great firearms however like all firearms the chance of even a well maintained rifle having a malfunction/catastrophic malfunction still exists. Glad you guys are ok.

  • That's cool ... Here in Brazil we have no opportunity to shoot with this weapon ... I want to go there in the United States just to shoot with such weapons.

  • British Crap!!! I cant believe they have conquered so many...I mean wth those weapons and those accents...are you kidding me?

  • 2 jams within 10 seconds and a clip which falls apart. In battle that means you're dead.

  • @gitaargast1995 Thats why I sold it...And bought a GALIL....

  • i think you got yyour gas settings too low on the first one and too high on the second

  • Did you say "think these mags area little dry too" ?!? wtf !

Some of your detractors have it spot on, your drills are dangerous, your range discipline is dangerous and I'm glad it's your friend you are shooting with, because one day, (if you carry on like this), it will make it easier to tell the other one's parents, "there was an accident". If you are truly "National Guard" then i'm sure some of your training officers would sh*t themselves if they saw this. As mentioned before, amateurs !

  • @mikkinho Thats your fucking opinion and their like asshole...everybody's got one,,,,you just happen to speak threw yours!!

  • @mikkinho WAAAHHHH SAFETY SALLYS VAG IS DRYYY

  • @mikkinho National Guard- VERY 'Southern Comfort.' All they need are a few Cajun hunters on their case! I have NEVER seen such sloppy wpn handling skills. If you behaved like this on a British Army range, you would quickly find yourself on the receiving end of a good hiding from an NCO! Size 10 boot welded to the seat of your combat trousers! lol

  • Ive heard of this before, though very very rarely. the problem is the safety sear, or lack of it. This part is a secondary disconnect that is designed to prevent a fal from firing out of battery. The problem is this part is considered a primary component in the selective fire feature of the weapons, as they were originally designed ( with automatic fire an out of battery detonation is much more likely). And because of that are illegal on newly made semi-automatic models.

  • @TheWebley455 Thank you sir ...I never heard of that before? But it only happened that one time? And I shot the shit out of it that summer...I did finally sell it to a friend..He loves it!!! God Bless...

  • ha you guys buy shitty guns all the time i bet, and you guys are not safe with your weapons

  • thats why you just spend the money and get a FAL, no jams negro

  • Good to see no one was hurt. I guess this could also be a good reason to look into a good set of gloves.

That wood stocked FAL is a beauty.

  • Good to see no one was hurt.

That wood stocked FAL is a beauty.

  • cheap mags

  • MAGAZINE MALFUNCTION NEW MAG DOUBLE TIME DOUBLE TIME

  • stupid British made crap.

  • @bioboi66 now thats the dumbest thing ive ever heard!

  • faux pas, sorry screamineagle, but I am such a bad speller that I like pointing these things out, like an ex smoker I quess.

  • i have a cetme and it may sound crazy but you are shooting 308 ammo then?

my cetme fail left and right with m80 ammo"7,62x51"but smooth with .308 and ive heard the fal rifles do the same with 308.i tought it was the same but mt p.o.s cetme tells me other wise!worth a look into!

  • FN FALs suck lol

  • sad sad wankers....why not join up and do it for real? Not "the guard" but I doubt you have the courage.

  • POS FAL FAILED

  • what is that a FAL?

  • @5hiThAppEnS2 That is a L1A1, whats known as a franking FAL, it's part metric and part inch.

  • Did it fire out of battery?

  • @urbloodygutsonmytux Yes sir...It sure did..

  • @sum12see just had a question, not trying to be a smart ass but why if you guy's have a table right behind you do you wear all that restrictive shooting garb,i'd set my stuff on the table, but im asking why ?are you just trying to stay used to wearing it for when the shit goes down or just for fun,THERES NOTHING WRONG WITH BEING PREPARED,just asking

  • @METALLICA6547 I was always told to Prepare for the worst and Hope for the best..And yes I do think its a good thing to stay in practice with wearing gear..Because if you had to BUG OUT and your gear is just in the closet, well how long would it take you to get a rig ready to go? I have about 6 different set-ups for different guns and different scenerio's..We only Sit-Down and shoot when sighting in new weopons...Thanks for watching....

  • @sum12see Why have Six? Logistically a nightmare stocking up several kinds of ammo. Why not just be extremely proficient in one weapon system instead? There's no do all weapon but at the same time you'll probably only be able to take one system with you anyway. So why not just make one well rounded system?

  • @MrYACYAS I have adjusted my guns and gear and now I'm focusing on just two or three types of weopons platforms..I do Favor the AK Family of weopons so thats whats in the safe now!Three different Aks and soom WW2 Vintage Rifles..

  • hey everyone u all have to remember that its a machine, machines fail wear out and all the other stuff iv seen brand new m4s blow up and have mag feed problems shit happens stop saying theses guys are fuckin stupid damn

  • allways use military or new, ammo in the fal,no reloaded ammo.

  • Comment removed

  • Couldn't help but notice the finger on the trigger when u were done shooting.. and no safety?

  • @screamineagle91 Sorry for my faupue' I'm usually very aware of my trigger fingers position...I'm really a SAFE SHOOTER,I swear!

  • @sum12see I'm sure you are sir. Just something I noticed is all, sorry for the mishap. It's always scary when something like that happens. Glad everyone is safe.

  • @sum12see

    Safe shooter you say?!

Is that why you are standing directly in front of a loaded weapon (@1:58) and let your buddy sweep you with it? (Or is the camera position playing tricks with viewers perspective?)

Accidenlty, your buddy was holding his support hand almost in front of the ejector port, maybe that explains the mishap and poor feeding?

  • @roving1968 - The round was hit by a firing pin that was stuck forward. We found out later. It was his first time out with this weapon. HE and I have spent many years shooting and we spent time in the National Guard, I trust him with my life. Relax, we have made it this far. thanks for watching.

  • Wow, sorry to see you guys had such crappy luck. I'd have the headspace checked on that rifle. Does it have a full-auto lower receiver? There's a few things that could be wrong with one of these rifles, especially if it's been assembled from mismatching military surplus parts. Not sure what the case is here, but it sure looked like it fired out of battery! I would have shit my pants if my FAL ever did that!

  • seriously dude, get yourself an orig. joe poyer L1A1.

  • wow! least i happened with a well built, good condition rifle vs a sporting rifle, where the rifle prolly would've been damaged as was the case with me, when i was shooting a friend's Ithica M37 almost lost my right hand, still have a BB in my right pointer finger

  • Hhahahahahahahahahahahahaahahhahahahaah

    Fucking amatuers !!!

  • Son you meet me out in the field with your junk weponds and i will blow you away witha 20 dollar revolver.

  • @fattony252 Keep dreamin,boy!

  • What junk both putzs would have been dead meat.

  • @fattony252 What the fuck are you talking about? Your just a faceless punk who doesnt have enough balls to do what we do and admit when theres a problem...Grow the fuck up son!

  • America will never be taken over because other countries dont want to get their asses kicked by a bunch of fat unathletic dudes.

  • hahahaha. Failure on the mag.

  • Famous Last Words : " Hopefully this mag will work better."

  • @GuitarHeroJCJ well it did!

  • I have to say I agree with the guy who critiqued your safety procedures as some one who was trained on the L1A1 our instructor would have rapped your knuckles for the SOP's and how you handle the weapon.

The SLR is great piece of kit and looked after treated with care it will last forever even in Sh**t conditions. PlYo us did that guy have the regiments insignia on his Beret?

You may be a sharpshooter (mmm?) but I would prefer to see you in front of me rather than behind just in case you had ND

  • Looks like we got two armchair warriors here folks. I bet their skivvies are camo to.

  • Those are some really crappy problems, that must have been frustrating as hell.

  • Those look like regular glasses with no side protection, but I guess thats better than nothing

  • I recommend at least wearing safety glasses

  • Unlike everyone else in this vid, I might know about guns (Of course CoD and partly because I'm a Military Brat) but I have no idea of the rights and wrongs with guns, because every gun is different, and each have there own right thing to do, while some might cause a problem. I don't think they did anything wrong.

But how did you reload the mag? It was very slick and fluent looking.

  • You 2 guys are going to have an accident 1 day.....one of you is going to shoot the other.Go and get some firearms handling training before someone gets killed.

You 2 guys seem to be trigger happy & just want to blast the clip off....take your time.

Just an observation. I certainly wouldnt go shooting with you both....too dangerous.

  • @mortegi Kiss my ass!! we are very safe and I dont know what the hell your talkin about? I've had Military Firearms Training and was a SharpShooter and a Marksmen...They say,we mock what we dont understand...Thanks for watchin anyway! ..Keep watchin maybe you'll see what one of us shoot one another.....NOT!

  • I only say what I see for safety's sake mate, I have no issue with what you are doing, it's nice to see the use of the SLR/FAL perpetuated. I've had various mates comment verbally on this video who are far more qualified than I and they would be a bit harsher. Some of us have drills "Down to Pat" and notice variance of any kind and have seen what happens when those drills are strayed from. L2a2 by the way is standard UK ball type ammo and should cause no variance of feed or otherwise.

  • You need to learn a LOT more about weapons chap or there's going to be a fatal accident one day, Finger on the trigger whilst clearing a jam and no safety catch application, no "Making Safe", terrible! Also you will find, after you have fired it the proper way to treat the SLR is "Mag off, clear and ease springs", never leave it cocked and hooked as this stresses the return spring in the butt which may be a source of all of your feed probs, other than the gash mags of course....Ian

  • @Fosh192 Well Ian,Your the first person to say we are UNSAFE SHOOTERS? I pride myself on being safety oriented and I take great offence to being called UNSAFE....I was in the 29th Infantry and have been shooting guns since I was 6 years old....I'm sorry you feel like we're going to get hurt from our own incompitence...Thanks!

  • @sum12see been a while since this reply, but... Well I did my basic training back in '87 on the SLR and used it for 3 years altogether, Ian seems to understand the point at hand here. For you to take offence is wrong !, if you have actually served, you would have realized what you are doing bears no resemblance to any training manual in existence !. to prove ineptitude on here is one thing, to defend it is just plain wrong !. M'kmn and SS ?, don't insult people's intelligence !.

  • wow i have never seen that happen before. whats up with all the FTEs?

  • Man....I've been shooting for years.......And that was a 1st!! Crazy shit?,,,,Thank God no one was hurt......

  • "hopefully this mag will work better"

  • Comment removed

  • @MotleyCrewMN Thanks for that vote of confidence!! I hope you enjoy my videos?...

  • you look like G.I Joe lol

  • thanks a lot!! becuase that was my nickname in High School!!While I was in the 29th Infantry my nickname was Rambo and that stuck until even now...LOL!

  • I'm pretty sure I have an idea of what happened here. To comply as a semi-auto rifle FAL receivers must not have machining to accept the auto-sear present in the original design (this is why your rifles cannot be built on original L1A1 receivers). However, the auto-safety is also the device that prevents the rifle from firing out of battery. I'd guess that the round did not completely chamber, but the bolt-assembly was far enough forward to allow the hammer to strike the firing pin.

  • lol! bummer....

  • That was one of the strangest things that's ever happened to me when I was shooting. A little bit of smoke came out of the reciever cover back by my right eye. It was like...what the hell is that? and the rounds falling one the ground. I found the Mag floor plat stuck in the ground about 2 feet from where I was standing. It should be a lesson for all you folks out there shooting, WEAR SAFETY GLASSES!

  • damn! good thing no one got hurt.

  • Ted I almost forgot, but a bad primer could have the same effect if it wasn't seated in the casing right..That would cause similar effect and result,I've seen it in an AR-15 before...

  • Yeah, just had a few more looks in frame by frame. It wasn't a cook off, it was a premature detonation. The round fired as it was being chambered. The case didn't eject (did it?)

Get it to a gunsmith and get him to gauge the chamber and check pin protrusion.

  • You think the HEAD-SPACE is F'ed up? Because I saw the same thing you saw when I watched this video FRAME BY FRAME before I uploaded it..It seemed to detonate before the chamber was even closed..And that caused the gasses to blow-back into the mag well. And no,the empty round didn't eject..So I think our conclusion is it needs to go to the GUN DOCTOR I know..LOL!!

  • That's possible. Or if the chamber mouth is heavily worn....

Gun Doctor would be a good idea, me thinketh.

Really glad Budman didn't catch a face full of powder or shrap.

  • Amen! I'm not sure what the cause but I will be sending it off to get checked...Like I said it functioned flawlessly after the incident and its quite amazing that I got it on film...

  • Oh Dude..........

Did the round cook in the mag, or did the mag just shit itself?

    That's some seriously weird shit...

I think we'll just use my rifles when you get down here. LOL!

    *Americans shooting!!! - Take Cover!!!*

  • Thanks Ted! I don't really know what happened....It seems the round prematurely detonated and the concusion blew down threw the mag well and blew it apart..Again it was a freaky happening...

  • Wow. It's the first time I have seen something like that happen. Major coup that you got it on tape!

Maybe the round fired prematurely as a result of incorrect firing pin protrusion or a 'proud' pimer.

But the other cartridges seemed to cycle ok....Big mystery.
