I hope comcast follows through with their promise that customers' preferences concerning "Comcast Domain Helper, which redirects you to a Comcast search page if you mistype a website address" -- will "continue to be honored..."

I've had several issues with that redirect in the past, and NONE of the reps knew what I was talking about! One Comcast rep told me that the redirect "sounds like spyware."
@4thel0ve You know you can log into your main comcast.net email address and turn if off. It's not a well known issue some most wouldn't know about it anyway. It has caused people to have issues with their VPN connections at times, but that's about it.
@4thel0ve I believe you probably had to tell their reps because it's not a common problem. I'm sure if it was an everyday occurrence they would have known a bit more about it. :)
@TheRaceforTech re: "I believe you probably had to tell their reps because it's not a common problem."

Sorry, but whether or not this issue is common or not doesn't excuse Comcast for not training their reps.
.
I pay exorbitant prices for my services -- (my prices TRIPLED when comcast bought out my former cable provider) -- and there is no reason on earth why they can't properly train their reps.
.
No customer wants to be told, "You service was poor because your issue is rare."
Based on what I understood Comcast can only verify an address if it's registered. But non-registered sites would behave the same way as the ones that are verified. This is actually a little bit confusing, there should be a way for the user to make sure the site that's being visited was registered and is authentic.
I really don't want to thumbs up a Comcast video but I might... Thank you for taking one step forward for a change.

@TheRaceforTech, thanks for your reply. :)
Yes, I know it's in the account, and I in fact disabled it from there on several different occasions.
.
The problem was that I shouldn't *have* to disable it more than once. Additionally, it takes between 24 - 48 hours for the change to take place.
.
Do you know, I had to tell the reps where to look in their own comcast accounts for the option. Even after they saw it, they didn't know what it was.
.
Ergo the reason I said, "please train your reps."

@4thel0ve, typo correction:
"Your service", (not 'you service')
