@aquamammal Thanks for the comment. I didn't know there was an option between zipper and velcro so I can't really comment on any comparisons. I can say however that the velcro almost isn't needed...the tension your weight puts on the opening puts enough tension on it to keep it closed (although it makes sure there aren't any cracks so the bugs won't get in)...at first you think it's a weird idea and that you'll just fall out, but when you try it, you'll see it's almost a skill to get out ;)
@Emanusmell Wanted to add that my knees are sensitive to being straight out, so I was worried about them being bent funny in this thing...on the contrary, the A-Sym design made it so I could be almost flat, and could even curl them to the side without any real problems (takes some shifting around...part of the getting used to it). Like drummerthingx said though, you can get cold easily without a barrier underneath you.
@Emanusmell I am sorry for the late reply...I spent a night in it about a week ago, and it was actually very comfortable. It took me a while to get used to it, but once I did, I slept pretty well. I'm in decent shape, and aside from a sore back from my job (machine shop) I don't really have any back problems. I have to say it was pretty nice on the back though...I actually feel like it was better on my back than a bed, but it also depends how you've positioned yourself in it.
Really cool, informative vid. I'm totally sold. Nice to see someone who obviously digs the product and who's keen to share that with others. Seriously, thanks!
These hammocks are good. Quick set up skeeters can get you thru the nylon VERY dry in heavy rain bottomside can get COLD goes places tents don't hard to get in your sleeping bag very lightweight for hiking not made in USA more comfy than a tent difficult to see the bears at night compact fits nicely in pack no good place to store your backpack off the ground away from many things I met Tom Hennessy at Trail days... cool guy!
but i'm wondering the size would be alot smaller if put into a compression sack right? cos that's bulky for lightweight camping and cutting down on sack size. sure the snakeskin is a nippy way to put up and down but whats the rush if you are wild camping when if raining tarp would go up first
hey bro, thanks for the video. my buddy and i go camping all the time and when i saw this video i was very interested in getting one. since that time i have been camping a whole bunch and love it. also i think after we talked about it my buddy is going to get one too. -thanks again thanks again
Hey, i became very interested in this product when i came across your video. Its just great. Since that time i have talked with a buddy of mine and he is planning on getting one of his own. Thanks for taking the time to show us all this product and change my future camping experience for the better. Thanks again
I like to put my sleeping pad under me in my hammock if I sleep in it. For both bug protection (mosquitoes bite me through it) and insulation if it is cold.
Thanks for the demonstration--your excitement for the concept shows. After winning an eBay auction, I've got an Expedition Asym on the way to me, and I look forward to trying it out soon.
Hey, really good video~ I'm choosing between the Ultralight and Expedition, and I think I'm going with the one you chose too.
Now I'm choosing between the Velcro and the Zipper. Which one???

Does it come with a carrying case ?
what about rain?
How does it do well in cold weather ?
What about a durability in every inches of this product?
This may be a good solution for me.

I'd be sweating like two queers wrestling in a sleeping bag!
