  • It funny because this is the one joke Family Guy DIDN'T steal. The Simpsons used it in 2000, this was 1999.

  • Family Guy Episode = "Holy Crap" 1999. Simpsons Episode = "Missionary: Impossible" 2000

  • The joke is much better because one of the priests asks if it's supposed to be Jesus.

  • and original.

  • The writers of Family guy figured that if they included a bunch of priests in a room that pronounced jesus wrong that they would get views based on shock value or some version of ludicrous humor of sorts. While the Simpsons did it they didn't overdo it and first and foremost it was succinct and actually was funny.

  • how typical the half-assed writers steal yet another joke.

  • wow way to steal a line from the simpsons!

  • Homer was right! He knew it all along...

  • Simpsons did it!

  • Jebus was the name of the land before King David took it over

  • simpsons did it.

  • SIMPSONS DID IT! SIMPSONS DID IT!

  • stupid family guy

  • Jeebis.

  • dumb they are making fun of the simpsons duh

  • OMFG THATS JUST WRONG THATS HOW HOMER SAYS IT AND SERIOUSLY THATS JUST WRONG THEY TOOK IT FROM THE SIMPSONS

  • The Simpsons already did it. 15th episode from season 11 (Missionary: Impossible): Homer says: "I don't belive in Jebus" and "Save me, Jebus!".

  • "Jebus" also referred to one of the names Olde Jerusalem had. (lol I put olde with an e because I'm referencing Ancient to sub-ancient literature.)

  • The sad thing is I can't even tell if they're referencing the Simpsons or not. I'm not saying Family Guy is completely terrible, but sometimes the jokes miss so hard, they don't even make sense.

  • @malathis0 They're not all refererences... y'know...

  • episode name plz?

  • also, "skurwysyn" means exactly "sonofabitch"

  • @TheTop10YouPick I'm Polish, trust me. ;) Also there are many translations for "motherfucker", becouse we, Poles, really enjoy swearing. Motherfucker can sound here for example: skurwysyn, matkojebca, jebus, popierdoleniec and many more - there are no english counterparts, so these words are just translated into "motherfucker".

  • simpsons are the best

  • Actually, in Polish "Jebus" means "motherfucker". ;)

  • @Dewani90 I think that to, good on you.

  • Woah guys, not trying to piss on your bonfire but mcfarlane and groening have worked together previously, and often reference each others shows. I suspect this is an in-joke, or one that pays homage to the simpsons.

  • family...guy... it is not even funny.... soo screw it, matt groening's work was always funny... seth's work... it get's lucky if it makes me use a forced smile

  • COPYRIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i don't believe in Jesus but i saw Homer Create JEBUS then i had a religion HOMERS JEBUS is real and HOMER made him not Family Guy!!!!!!

  • This is an obvious homage to the simpsons creating the Jebus mania. Save me Jebus!!

  • simpsons made this up first.

  • Simpsons change the Bible TY Homer

  • it's supposed to be Jesus, right HAHA

  • BUUU-RNS

  • FUCKING COPYCATS!

  • @WWSkaterClone I bet Family Guy DID give credit for using the joke, or its meant for something else. the word "jebus", they could have not noticed it was from the Simpsons or to put it simple. they didn't care, barely anyone cares, its only a joke. get over it.

  • Its obiously a joke of Jebus( Jerusalem ) and The simpsons' Jebus...

  • SIMPSONS DID IT SIMPSONS DID IT

  • the real joke here is that catholic priests arent required to read to old testament. hence the confusion they have would they come across a word similar to Jesus but isnt.

  • Judges 19:10 mentioned Jebus, one of the names previously used for Jerusalem.

  • Jebus is what they called Jerusalem...

  • the fact that he said "Jebus" wasnt the joke, its the part that comes after it thats the real punch line that seemed to go over all of your retarded heads

they could have said "Jevus" or "Jefus" or even "Javex" and you guys still wouldnt get the joke. its a letter, get off your pedestals and calm down. they didnt steal the joke because both jokes are completely different, they just both say the word "Jebus" uhhmuhgawdddd D:

  • @williamtrevormcneil There's a joke to the Jebus thing. It actually does say Jebus in the bible. It's in the old testament (I believe it's judges but I would need to double check that) What they're prodding fun at here is how little people, even people of faith actually understand the bible.

  • how original

  • real original family guy

  • praise jebus

  • prase jebus

  • No, it's supposed to be Jebus on every page. :D

  • Strangely, Jebus actually does appear on page 357 of the New American Bible ^_^

  • @deweysmith Glad some body got the joke.

  • family guy originally aired this episode in september 30 1999

simpson episode missionary impossible aired in February 20 2000. so simpsons did it first but really its just a cartoon who cares who did it first.

  • @rageahollic33 So....how exactly does 2000 come before 1999? I'm confused.

  • Respond to this video... i ment tos say family guy did it first but simpsons . thanks to imbd and wikipedia. but sorry got the dates wrong

  • "God's infallable word", eh?

  • I would smack them across the face and say "IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE JEBUS!"

  • I would smack them across they're face and say"IT'S SUPPOSED TO SAY JEBUS!"

  • No this family guy episode aired BEFORE the simpsons episode

  • @derpdaderp1234

HILARIOUS AND TRUE! Catholic Bishops don't know the Bible...

  • @chevysucksfordrules then family guy did it! :) yayy!

  • HEY THE SIMPSONS GOT IT FIRST!

  • @AquaH2OLuv The crators of The Simpsons and Family Guy are the same!!

  • @ViktorRzR no they're not o.o

    Family Guy ~~> Seth MacFarlane

    The Simpsons ~~> Matt Groening

    Get your facts straight :D

  • @IceCreamsFTW Hmm... sorry a friend of mine told me that i never notised that but the fact is they are really the same thing !

  • @AquaH2OLuv actually it was used long before the simpsons.

  • @baskyn544

    When?

  • Simpsons did it!

  • @Perfectchaos007

    And South Park did this.

You're as evil as Family Guy

  • @Perfectchaos007 Bible did it first.

Yes, it actually does say Jebus in the Bible.

  • Family Guy is just a copy of The Simpsons. But I don't spit on their works! I just prefer The Simpsons. Give to Caesar what is Caesar's :-)

  • moohhohohohhahhaahahahahah, crazy funny man.
