Oh man....I am new to bikes and I ordered one similar to this to learn on. I love choppers.....Maybe I shouldn't, but I can't help it! I love the bike! Looks REALLY cool!!!
@Scootertuner1000 I went to a scooter store today, they had a 150cc version of this. They also had an awesome trike with Yamaha 250 B twin clone motor. It had really long springer front end, raked and all chrome. Looked freakin' awesome.
I like that rear fender alot. It looks a whole lot better. Were did you get that rear fender from? I want that same fender for my bike. Please let me know. Thanks
@bully69ify ebay, i took a measurement of the rear wheel then got lucky enough to find a fender of similiar dimensions. It was not a direct bolt-on by any means though, I had to make mounting brackets. But we do agree, it looks much nicer! :)
@vvtheduckvv well the engine im using is a robin/subaru ex27 it doesnt come with a clutch. its just a straight shaft. im going to be making a chopper with that engine as i have the engine so i dont have to spend money to get an engine
@shadowkn1ght Ahhh, makes sense now. The engine I have here is a Lifan 200cc, the clutch and transmission are all part of the engine like any typical imported bike. You may find that a gocart clutch that fits onto a Briggs and Stratton may do the job for you well. It may have to be adapted, but it should work once mounted properly.
@DutchDennus Yeah... Isn't that unusual? But then again the original german-designed helmet was worn by the chinese and a version of which is still produced and used in Brazil for firefighters. Lots of South America and Europe wore similiar helmets, too!
@DutchDennus Actually it was something I learned by accident. I was given a WW2 chinese helmet... and damned if it wasn't a german helmet with chinese isignias on it. It turns out the germans were selling them (and other eqiupment) to the chinese, even though the chinese were on the allies side against Japan. Interesting, eh?
@DutchDennus Thanks for all the comments, I really appreaciate them, especially from so far away! Get some video from the camp and put it up! Looking forward to it!
@vvtheduckvv sorry, didn't film today, i wen't to the camp for school.
i've been there dozens of times before because i lie just 20 miles away from it.
the reason i didn't enter the camp was that we only visited the boring museum in front of it. was pretty lame.
Type in: kamp westerbork and click the 4th or 5th vid by bakpeet. it's a vid about the camp, it's just a field with lumps on it because they've removed all the barracks.
@TheFk12 After the sprocket swap it passes cars on the interstate so I guess about 70mph+. Usually they run from $2000 to $3000 depending on tax shipping and who you buy it from. This one is for sale if you're interested, there's too much stuff in my garage!
im thinking about getting one of these, but am nervous about cheap parts breaking and me not being able to find good quality replacement parts for it. what all parts did you have to replace, and did you keep track of what exactly you replaced them with? thanks
@mgrotel You'd probably be better off buying a used one from someone that knew what they were doing when they owned it. A new one is probably just as bad as a basketcase used one, but one that was well-taken-care-of and repaired with good parts will likely be better than new! Mine is a such a case in point.
@11039078 Check out my video titled "Completed Mini Chopper - Walkaround " and read the description. It was A LOT of stuff that needed replacement, far more than I can fit in this little box! :)
how much did that cost

where did you get the clutch? im trying to locate a clutch to use on a chopper im going to make. its going to be about 250 cc 9 hp.
shadowkn1ght 7 months ago
@shadowkn1ght @shadowkn1ght The clutch was part of this engine and hasn't ever needed to be replaced. Is there something else you meant?
vvtheduckvv 7 months ago
@vvtheduckvv nope meant the clutch. but im thinking a motor cucle clutch would work. either a motorcycle or dirtbike clutch
shadowkn1ght 7 months ago
@shadowkn1ght What kind of engine do you have? Why do you have to replace the clutch with something else?
