I was at this game, and as a Lightning fan, I was proud. Kessel had his head down and Ohlund caught him clean. It was one of those hits where the entire building stands up from the sheer noise. But like I said, it was clean, and it was kinda funny that Phil Kessel's first game as a Leaf is highlighted by a big-time hit lol.

It allows teams to stick up for their top guys and let other teams know that if you fuck with certain guys prepare to be fucked up. I'm all for sticking up for teammates and respecting "the code" but I don't think going after a player and stopping play when a clean body check occurs should be allowed. Take revenge on the player some other way

Ohlund since his first year on the Canucks was a solid D man with offence to boot. He can get you between 35 - 50 points a season. He is missed on the Canucks, he did actually hit like this a few times a year. But, he's an All around defenseman. He does Offence, Defense, and physical. I'm glad the rest of the Eastern Conference can finally see him play, we've been enjoying him on the west for a while.
