There are NO birds in wading bird family that are legal to shoot. Wading birds includes, storks, cranes, ibis, herons, egrets, bitterns and other similar animals. Not a single one is legal to hunt and most are protected. This one appears to be either a green heron or an american bittern, both of which are protected by the migratory bird act. There are NO birds in wading bird family that are legal to shoot. Wading birds includes, storks, cranes, ibis, herons, egrets, bitterns and other similar animals. Not a single one is legal to hunt and most are protected. This one appears to be either a green heron or an american bittern, both of which are protected by the migratory bird act. If you are going to hunt, do it LEGALLY, and do it for food, not for sick pleasure so you have something to jack off to at night with that tiny man hood.
