  • this is such a sad video :(

  • Turn off the music so that people can hear the messages by the hostages to thier loved ones. That is far more powerful than an overused song.

  • @onegirrl There are ONLY about 28 seconds of Thomas Howes speaking... If you want that go to the plain video...which does exist. This is a MUSIC video and a tribute. Plus, I made this almost four years ago... They're free. So, changing it is kind of irrelevant at this point, dontcha think?

  • great video...but the music is too loud../.can't hear parts of the message of the hostage.

  • FARC= Piece of shit.

  • I would really like to meet you guys, email me. I just finish your book, thanks good you are free!!!

  • Well, gee whiz! If the FARC says it, well, gosh, it MUST be true. No wonder they have a whopping 1% approval among Colombians!

What a load of mierda from a cabal of narcoterrorists...

  • 'Letter from FARC

To James Petras, Noam Chomsky, Jesse Jackson, Angela Davis, Michael Moore,

    Oliver Stone and Denzel Washington.

'In February 2003, the fighter plane piloted

by Thomas Howes, Keith Stansell and Mark Gonsalves, of American origin, was shot down by FARC rebels in Colombian territory, in the valleys of the eastern mountains, which stretch, to Caquet.'

  • The three men were legitimally held prisoner because they were carrying out a military action in the

middle of an armed conflict fought in the name of freedom by Farc, the Peoples Army and theColombian state.

    Yours sincerely,

    FARC-EP, International Commission

Raul Reyes, member of the Secretariat

    Mountains of Colombia, October 2006'

  • @Guevaristas Incorrect. FARC is in no way a sovereign state or entity, nor is it or should it be treated as such. Those brainless monkeys in the back shitlands of Colombia who held these men captive are guilty in every way of every and any crime they are accused of for this. And sadly, they match your intellect. Also, your clinging to communism is the most transparent of defense mechanisms wherein you are revealing your own pathetic mental state and horrendous insecurities & inadequacies.

  • Viva Colombia, I'm glad they're free now =D

  • They're free now =D

  • A COLOMBIA AL MUNDO

    U N E T E NO IMPORTA TU NACIONALIDAD!

  • I am so glad they made it home! There are so many people all over the world being held against their will, and now there are 15 less. There are two little boys that finally got to meet their Papa!

  • Uribe not only freed them but also gave a lot of hope of peace for Colombia. God bless the president Uribe!

  • Evil...indeed!

  • It makes a person wonder? I mean, The News just said, in responses to, One of the hostages,(Marc) as he went on and on thanking the media(Our media) for "never" forgetting them? Who? hummm, Stop with the thank you's What the hell, So then CNN explained this very thought..We were busy.. with 911..We Americans were busy.. But,The Gov and our media were free. I am not sure about all this...Sounds Fishy, To Convenient. My respects for the 911 victims.

  • Chavez is a sewer rat bastard. I hope he dies a slow, cruel death.

  • im so happy the 3 american fellows returned home safely and were deployed to their country as soon as they were freed, not the same thing that Hugco Chavez did with the hostages that his FARC buddies released, he keept them in venezuelan teritory (when they were released on colombian soil) for 2 weeks to buy himself some popularity with the world. how low is to use people like this , to be feed to the media circus.. shame in you dictator Chavez..

  • Tom, Marc, Keith welcome to life! From a colombian who belive in the real Colombia, and belive that the peace is possible.

  • How is being held hostage for years and years away from your family and friends considered not being tortured LeonardodiserPier.

  • I mean fiscal torture... that's is what Marc gonsalves said. NOT ME!!!

    OF COURSE THEY ARE EVEL!!!!

  • I am very happy to know that these 15 people are finally free. Nobody deserves this. I hope that FARC will soon be over and let Colombians be a nation free of violence. FARC STOP ENROLLING CHILDREN IN YOUR ABSURD "CAUSE". PEACEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Although the order of the posted comments doesn't make it so clear, the negative comments from me (and others) are for whoever kimWSSmith is. That person is pretty solidly ignorant about Colombia and, apparently, a whole host of issues. Sorry for any confusion. Viva Colombia! Libertad sin condiciones! YA!!!

  • Viva Colombia! Live Colombia! Vive le Colombie!

  • Las Frac are SO EVIL ... I was in shock when I knew that they play football with the head of their killed abducted people and other terrible things ... it is horrible ... THANKS GOD FOR THIS LIBERATION

  • dude they are certainly not good people.. but they don't do that kind of stuff... (I used to be a journalist down in colombia)... they are fighting for "democracy" and "revolutionary causes" (equality of the land). The three hostages even said that they never were torture or anything like that. (I'm not saying that's right what they do, but do not believe everything your hear, get inform first)

  • You are about the dumbest piece of s-it on the planet. They are terrorists. Idiot.

  • leo u dumb as shit yo, they never fought for democracy. IF THEY DID THEY WOULDNT HOLD OVER 3000 HOSTAGES AND RUN INTO VILLAGES SHOOTING AUTOMATIC RIFLES KILLING OTHER THOUSANDS OF INNOCENT VICTIMS TO THERE CAUSE.

  • men.. how is the dumb here?

1-I wrote democracy in a cautions marks "..."

    2-you communicate with hatred

maybe you barely pas second grade....

    your nickname suits JUNK!!!

  • men.. how is the dumb here?

1-I wrote democracy in a cautions marks "..."

    2-you communicate with hatred

maybe you barely pas second grade....

your nickname suits you : JUNK!!!

  • Well, not to burst your bubble--and not to take props away from the COLMIL, because they are GREAT!, but who has been training the Colombian Military for the past ten years? Anyone? Bueller? The U.S. Military! Ahhh... OK.

  • seems like Colombia Army is now the best in the world!!!!

    hard for US army ego!!

Thank you Colombia Army for bring them back save!!!

  • Thank god for bringing them back home.

    Andres

  • Thanks for bring them back home :)

  • What's with the f... music... ???? we can heard the message

  • Well Genius, there is about 28 seconds of Thomas Howes speaking... If you want that go to the plain video... This is a MUSIC video and a tribute. If you don't like it, don't watch it...

  • They are FREE .. !!

    viva mi ejército nacional

  • These guys have been flying around the Colombian countryside murdering farmers in their cocoa fields. These creeps are helping to support an Amerikan puppet that rules Colombia with fear and terror. There are no "heroes" in this lot. They are cold blooded mercenaries who murder anyone working their fields; including women and children. "Heroes"? definitely not! They are Nazi cowards working for the worst unelected "President" the United Snakes of Amerika ever had!

  • you obviously have no idea what is happening.

  • You have no idea! The US government has been meddling in south America for decades. They assassinate democratically elect3ed leaders and set up puppet dictators like Pinochet and Noreaga to rule by fear and terror. The fascist regime in Bogata has no popular support outside the urban centers. The United Snakes has no business meddling in the internal affairs of any other country. If you want to stop the drugs: Bomb Mexico and deport or exterminate the invaders!

  • kimWSSmith, your ignorance and rhetoric are utterly dumbfounding. Have you ever been to Colombia? I can say from my time there, with President Uribe's 80% popularity rating, and an electorate pushing him to seek a 3rd term, he hardly fits the bill of a 'puppet dictator' who rules 'by fear and terror'. You excoriate the U.S. for 'meddling' in the affairs of other countries, yet you recommend we 'bomb mexico'. Your argument is devoid of substance or empirical backing. You're absolutely pathetic.

  • WATCH UR HANDS BEFORE U TYPE ASSHOLE.

  • Wow! You give new meaning to the term clueless. I would suggest liberal use of a spell checker, however. Careful ChetGuy95, you might hurt someone's brain (like kimWSSmith) with words like "excoriate." :) Pathetic, however, is appropriate.

  • I was going to remove this, but I am going to leave it up as a testament to the moronic lockstep stupidity of FARC apologists who believe everything their leftist professors tell them. This is truly idiotic...Good job. I thought the FARC were clueless. You beat them!

  • QUE VIVA COLOMBIA.........Nothing makes me happier than to see you guys come home to your families. Some of us dint get that chance to say good bye to our love ones. the best of luck

  • Patriotism is not just flying the flag on national holidays.

  • Absolutely correct! Colombia is a beautiful country. Viva Colombia! Ganamos la guerra!!!

Welcome home Marc, Keith, and Tom!!! God we missed you!!! God bless you and your families!!! We will never forget Tom Janis or SGT Cruz...

  • I am really happy to see them get their freedom back. And just so all of you reading this, Colombia is a country filled w/ wonderful and passionate people. Do not judge our good people for something that a group of terrorist has done.

  • God speed, my fellow Americans! I cannot imagine the joy your family is experiencing right now with your release. I am so proud of the brave people the infiltrated this organization and made this possible. May they be kept safe!

  • Wellcome back !!!

  • they are in guatemala and they are doing good. get a deplacement agreement to get them back before its too late.

  • FARC= Fags Assholes Retards Cunts

  • shut off the music!

  • It's been posted elsewhere without the music... You don't have to watch this... Tom's words are important--VERY important, but it's also a tribute all those who are being held... Sorry.

  • I will pray for them

  • May all the kidnapped come back home soon!

God bless them and their families.

Thank you for sharing this video.

  • There will be resolution soon.......and a lot of dead FARC members. Hijos de Puta!

  • Damn straight!

  • we'll get them back...and if not, i hope someone burns that entire jungle down trying. God Bless those guys...

  • why doesn't the US gov. do something about it? Is it all because there's no political interest in Colombian territory? Is it because there's no fuel like in Iraq? How do you think these citizens are feeling? what if the person that was kidnapped was Bush's daughter? Would they do something about it then? Colombia needs help, and look at their faces, they look like they're dea alive!!!!God help this world!!!

  • why doesn't the US gov. do something about it? Because the US gov. does the right thing, they DO NOT NEGOCIATE WITH TERRORISTS.

Do you think Sarkozy is doing something useful by surrender all the nation to farc?

  • To all who reject violence,

NO MORE FARC! Grand march WORLDWIDE.... Join us! Be with us. Be part of the solution, not the problem. February 4th, 2008. NO MORE FARC. We have to be able to send a clear and concise message to these TERRORISTS the we will not put up with it any more. Come out and walk, dance or simply watch, but come out... Enough is enough!

    MCZ

  • ****((I N V I T A C I O N ))****

a todos los que rechazan las masacres, los secuestros de la guerrilla de las farc a unirse a los colombianos el 4 de febrero en una marcha en cualquier parte del planeta

  • kids dont forguet, they will growth looking for revenge at some point.

we all are somebody'sfamily ,father, mother ,son, cousin,no matter where we came from or belives are,we are not better that some body else

violence bring more violencs,we dont need to fight ,we need to speak and decide what is the best for this earh and the human race, we caused so much damage already

  • please no more pain,we are humans ,we should we have a heart and think about our childrens, they are the future.violence, power are just a very low way to be because that mean's you are not capable to success without stepping on somebody's head.

  • Please try to keep the language toned down. I don't mind if you put things like "this is so f***ed up," etc. These are emotional issues. I just don't want people to immediately tune the message out because of obscenities...

  • holly shit, I don't even know these people and seeing them and hearing the guy talking breaks my heart.... FARC, Free the hostages!!!!! Stupid Uribe, think for Christ sake!!!!

  • Oh well, so much for toning down the obscenities...

  • What do you want Uribe to do?? To release 750killers and receive 1 hostage, so the farc will kidnap again because it is lucrative?

I didn't know human life was an exchange rate.

--> Hey there is a promotion!!, one american hostage in change for ONLY 400 criminals! Valid only till June 2008.

  • This is so fucked up. How did it get so out of control. It seems that this conflict will never end. Not by the means they are trying...

The only way I see of ending this is by the involvement of the whole southamerican governments through a community like the UNASUR. Who has the balls to push that forward? Maybe Chavez, but the only problem is that he's way too stupid and a clown.

  • Please try to keep the language toned down. I don't mind if you put things like "this is so f***ed up," etc. These are emotional issues. I just don't want people to immediately tune the message out because of obscenities...

  • sorry

  • dear Lord Jesus please bring them all home safe!! LA FARC NO MORE HOSTAGES!!!

  • I am glad two hostages were released today, y just pray that all the others will soon find their way home. This is not a war, they are terrorist attacking innocents.

Dear Lord, please keep all the hostages safe and if it is your will bring them home to their loving families!!!

  • good to know.

  • Can you disregard the second posting. I thought it didn,t send for some reason.

  • Antidallard, I have been touched personally by the Colombian conflict, let's say. I very much appreciate the thoughtfulness of your posts. I too am frustrated by the inattention that the conflict receives and by the misunderstanding many people have regarding Colombia. I love that country, second only to my own. I keep hoping the world will wake up and do the right thing.

  • Whats the right thing, What can the international community do? Do you ever envision a resolution ? Cos nobody believed that the conflict here could ever be resolved, and I still cant believe that arms were laid down ,by all sides, in my lifetime.Said it would NEVER happen.

  • We're closer now than we have ever been. The government knows this has to be resolved at the negotiation table. The FARC are still bouyed by narco-dollars. When they figure out that arms won't work, then we'll get a real settlement.

  • Well lets hope that a settlement can come about ,. the healing process is going to mean a lot of bad tasting medicine for everyone

  • There was a newspaper feature on Ingrid, here in Ireland, with a very powerfull image of her in her jungle prison. Made me curious about this horrendous war thats been going on in Colombia for the last number of decades, that the english speaking press has missed. I had no idea of the extent of the bloodshed and suffering that has gone on.

  • And whats your story, sday ? I dont mean that in a derog / provocative way. It's just that I've only very recently started to see that there has been a whole , horrendous, murderous conflict going on in Colombia for the passed number of decades that has been missed by the English speaking world.

  • were the 3 Americans Blackwater personnell?

  • Nope. They were contracted to map coca fields. They weren't combatants in any stretch of the meaning.

  • OK .

  • Of course it's Tom, Marc, and Keith... I apologize for misspelling Marc Gonsalves's first name at the beginning. We are praying for all of you and all the hostages.
