if the temptation is an inner urge then it ALREADY is sin.
If men are struggling they have still sin in them.
temptation is external situation. ANY inner urge is sinful response, BTW JAmes said we are tempted by our own sinful hearts
stopping from looking at a beautiful women is not avoiding sin, it is hiding it.
this fudg9ing the issue condemns a man to a life of HARD work, all because they will fight what they miscall temptation and refuse to repent of sin as lead by the HolySpirit
@LastRqss No. This is a series on sexuality because its Seattle with new Christians, who didn't know how to live like Christians. go to the church website to find their list of sermons, which goes back about 10 years or more.
GO TO GTM.ORG DOWNLOAD THE FREE ONLINE BOOK THE MAN WHO WASNT THERE, IT WILL HELP YOU TO SHARE THE TESTEMONY OF PAUL, IT IS NO LONGER I THAT LIVE BUT CHRIST WHO LIVES IN ME, GOD BOESNT WANT US TO TRY NOT TO SIN, HE WANTS US TO LEARN TO LET GO AND LET HIM DO IT FOR US
go to gtm.org there are free audio sermons that will help you, and remember WE CANT DEAL WITH TEMPATION UNDER OUR OWN POWER,THE LESSONS ON THAT WEBSITE WILL TEACH YOU TO WALK IN THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT WHEN WE LEARN TO RELY ON GODS PROVISION RATHER THAN TRYING TO FIX THE FLESH WE WILL HAVE VICTORY
I love that Evangelicals are so afraid of female sexuality that they deny its very existence. "Only men are tempted this way! If not, my wife might actually look at other men, and THAT isn't happening!"
@xTRUExHATEx LOL. Ya... It's kind of sad. I have browsed a bunch of videos and I haven't found any addressing the female side of it. It's really infuriating hearing this same message over and over because I feel like in just reinforces this idea that women are temptresses who are at fault for all sexual immorality and completely puts down any difficulty a female might have just because it may manifest itself differently. (this is my questionably-on-topic-rant to reply to what you said).
@gabrielleigloo dont just take the message at surface value just like the bible doesnt specify what words are cursing but says don't do it. he addresses the men specifically in things like this because the bible says for men to build up men and women to build up women. i mean if he actually said "women quit looking at men lustfully" would u be happy? i mean as true as the message is it's kind of not his place to tell a woman how to think because as a man he can't fully understand how they think.
@TheRockMoreChannel I think we are speaking in similar terms... From what I read you are speaking to the "spirit" of the Word and it's broader application: for me not to take it is circumstancially... For me this circumstance represents a negative spirit which I have perceived in the Bible and in Christianity as a culture/religion: it was and is patriarchal. Women being portrayed as tempresses is just one instance of this. I mourn this because I don't think it is what God's Kingdom is about.
@gabrielleigloo well you're right. its not about you being temptresses and men being the noble ones that's so true. it's just that he's a man so he speaks to men. his wife speaks to the women and would probably say the same things but with a gender switch. the bible says that men should treasure a woman and that her value is far above rubies and diamonds and gold and silver.
Mark could you please give reply and give me the reference in the bible where it states that jesus was tempted?? i knew that Satan tried to tempt Jesus but i cant read it where it states that Jesus was tempted? in my humble opinion they are two VERY different things. Thanks for the sermon
@perfectioninheaven ?? satan tried to get jesus to sin.. he did this through the use of temptation.. he presented the temptation, jesus was engadirectly engaged with the temptation and rejected the sin. u cannot reject temptation u can only reject sin. it is not a sin to be tempted.. i think your confusing temptation with cultural secular implementation of lust and desire
stalking is sinful

Man can I so relate to what mark is talking about.
I K N O W that it is an area where I'm the most weakest.
As long as I keep L O V I N G Jesus, he being my strenght, I will not fall.
I am prone/will to stumbling, but God will have me not to fall utterly.
If that makes sense?

@xTRUExHATEx Because of course; how closely someone conforms to your taste in fashion is an accurate measure of how true their message is.
