  • It says voice traffic is blocjed by network wat do i do i need serious help

  • When i make a call it says voice traffic is blocked by network wat do i do

  • @buddell3 yes it works in canada. in order to get a number, search "google voice" add a google account and it will give you a number. calls anywhere in the u.s. and canada are free.

  • @kghfairy It uses the internet for calling, so if you are at home it would use your Wi-Fi so that would basically be free, if you use it over 3G while not connected to a Wi-Fi network it would use your phone's data plan. So not actually free but could be close to free.

  • does this work in canada and do you get a free number

  • @buddell3 As far as I know it does not work in Canada, you would have to hide your IP address and I don't think there are any Canadian area codes available. But you might want to check with Google Voice help to make sure.

  • I figured it out never mind

  • Can someone help me? I call my phone from my iPod 4g and it says we cannot complete your call please try again... Help me?

  • i live in US and i use talkatone only to call i cant recieve call my number suppose to start with 408 but it start with 760 i need help ???

  • does this work in canada ? and is it free for people to call you on there too? and it would it work on my ipad2? please someone answer me!

  • why not just use google voice???

  • @trufiend138 Google Voice is not a VOIP service, it is a call routing service. So when you use Google Voice from your cellphone you use your cellphone minutes. You can use the Talkatone iPhone app to route your calls through the internet so you don't use callphone minutes (you will use some of your data plan). You can also use GV's ClickToCall feature and a service like Sipgate so you don't use your cellphone minutes.

  • @REblissdotcom until this weekend I was using google voice on my ipod (free calls if wifi is around)...now i have iphone, and i have way more talk minutes than allotted data on my plan!!! how much data does it use?

  • hello Bryan i just tried more than many time to get google call but i can not figure it out , there are showing that WAITHING FOR ANSWER WI-FI instead of showing me CALLING ACTIVE.. Bryan how u got any idea for that ,, anyway i am Ye, using it in Swithzerland...

  • @MyaMyoye Sorry I don't think I can help. I believe Google Voice and Gmail Phone services are only offered and supported in the USA. I am not sure how you might use it in Swithzerland

  • My calls dont go thru

  • I went from $260/month to $120/month with google voice. Don't have to pay for texting, a lot of minutes, or any shit like that anymore. :) I love my google voice!

  • @rjtyork I love it to. You can't beat free text messages.

  • I'm sad that google voice doesn't work in Canada...

  • Is there anyway to talk from iPod to iPod using Talkatone?

  • @jsrf You should be able to if they both have Talkatone installed. You can make and receive phone calls with talkatone. Each iPod would have to have their own Google Voice Number. It might be easier to use Skype, Fring, or Viper - you can make free phone calls with these iPhone apps as long as both users have accounts.

  • When you make a call, can it go over 5 minutes?

  • @jsrf yes. i knocked over $20 over my cell phone bill this month with TalkATone.

  • @jsrf Honestly, I am not sure? I have never had a problem with call length using talkatone or Google Voice.

  • @jsrf ive made calls over an hour long without any problems

  • this app is amazing, I ran out of minutes about a week ago and this app has saved me from going over. quality is great too

  • @BeekSizl I love the app too! It is really easy to use and works great. Like you, I am able to use it to reduce the number of cell minutes I use each month.

  • I LOVE this app, but I do have one question.....recently, whenever I hit the speakerphone button on the app, it just mutes the call. Any idea how to fix that?

  • @MasterHasbar25 Sorry, I don't know how to fix that. I usually don't use the speakerphone. I will let you know if I do find the answer to that.

  • I tried it and it worked. However, I deleted it and changed my Google account password immediately. I couldn't find their privacy policy statement. I will not use it until I read the privacy statement.

  • @hugowla Thanks for tip, probably a good idea. I just uploaded a new video that shows another way to make free phone calls using Google Voice on your iPhone. Google has updated their app to include the Click2Call feature. Be sure to check out the video!

  • @hugowla

yeah admin can just see your email. sounds scary

  • yes i have done that already . Thank you for replying quickly and thanks for the info..

  • i cannot receive phone calls on talkatone app can u help!!!!

  • @dancer2cry4 Sorry to hear you can't get it to work. The app has been running in the background of on my iPhone when I receive calls. You must make sure you have your Google Voice number forwarded to "Google Chat". Under setting - voice setting - Phones - mark the box next to Google Chat. If you have already done this and it is still not working you might want to contact the developer.

  • I have this app for my 4g ipod touch. The sound quality is better than my cell phone.

  • @kameraklips I am really glad to hear that. The sound is usually good for me but not always. What a great app for the iPod touch!
