  • I fell asleep watching this movie...

  • This movie was entirely inaccurate and is so typical of Hollywood. No respect was given to the legend of Robin Hood. Instead, they made Gladiator 2 with a different title. And you know what? I would have been okay with this if it was even half as good. But it came no where near Gladiator in terms of quality, delivery, storyline, directing, cinematography, acting, score......just poor all together.

  • @muldyps8 eeeehm :P

the score of this movie is fucking great :P

  • I watched the trailer and it looked? pretty awesome. Now i want to watch the whole movie. Everybody say I can watch it at this site: quic#kfr#eemo#vie#.co#m ( Remove the # # )

  • This is definitely? one of the most enjoyable movies of 2010! And I've never even seen or heard of it until now! lol Action, romance, great plot ...what more could you want! ;) Get it in fine quality at: qui-ckfre-emovi-e.-co-m ( Without the - - )

  • does anyone else think the soundtrack ''destiny'' sounds like ''pandoras song'' on the god of war 3 soundtrack?

  • This was a major disappointment. I wish it were otherwise but it was incredibly boring. The beginning was exhaustingly slow

  • Fucking crap movie with the fat ugly thug Crowe far too old to play Robin Hood.

  • A complete version of this now playing on

    this

  • can someone please please tell me what the name of the theme is being played in this trailer starting from 29 seconds into it as "from the director of gladiator" comes up" i would really appreciate it

  • @amiransari80 its called THE TRUTH UNRAVELS by TWO STEPS FROM HELL

  • i still think Avatar and the prince of persia are the best films yet.

  • @Wolfkid1679 prince of persia was boring and childish :P

it was like a cartoon :P

i thought it was a looney toones episode but whitout some funny jokes :P

  • Maximus! Maximus! MAXIMUS!!!! ahhg best movie ever

  • Hey I've seen this before... twice actually. The first time it was called Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and the second time it was called Gladiator. But I'll probably watch it because I LOVE Robin Hood

  • Why is Maximus in this movie ? Hahaha

  • 1:04-1:05 Now that's very similar to Juba throwing the Gladius to Maximus in the Colloseum.fucking ownage.

  • aww alan doyle was in this!! he's sooo sexy :D

  • I can't wait to see this!!

  • Oscar winning movie, for sure.

  • I m the biggest Ridley Scott fan!

  • Are you sure? I thought I was the biggest Ridley fan :)

  • That is the Best Yorkshire Accent i have ever heard by a member of the Southern hemisphere! Truly amamzing ad hilarious!

  • i am the biggest fan of readley scott

  • Shit, Braveheart 2!!!

  • what's the music at 1:19?

  • The songs called "By all means necessary" by Ian Brown. Album: My way. Brilliant album, this being the best song!

  • should be interesting because robin hood is normaly played humurously be cool to see crowes approach which already feels more serious and heavy

  • His name is Gladiator; I am much afraid that Monsieur Ridley Scot has made some sort of Gladiator turned Robin Hood movie; with the great heroic actor of our age: Russell Crowe. If only Shakespeare had written a play about Robin Hood, so that there maybe some template instead of those dull Hollywood melodramas, as the Prince of Thieves as insufferable enough; and Shakespeare for sure did know about Robin Hood as he did mention him in As You Like It:

  • CHARLES They say he is already in the forest of Arden, and a many merry men with him; and there they live like the old Robin Hood of England: they say many young gentlemen flock to him every day, and fleet the time carelessly, as they did in the golden world.

  • Christian Bale=Russel Crowe

  • this movie is gonna be fucking AMAZING!!!

  • This looks AMAZING. I can't wait to see it. :D

  • I cannot wait i want to see this movie already. Looks astonishing!

  • Another Robin Hood movie without an english Robin.

  • @niaou80 speak english

  • this movie is gonna kick ass!!! cant wait to see it....

  • I can't wait to see what matthew macfadyen looks like as the sheriff x x

  • As far as I'm concerned, the Crowe - Scott tandem is one of the best in film. Their collaboration on Gladiator resulted in an all-time great film in my opinion. This is almost guaranteed to be entertaining. I hope they knock it out of the park like they did on Gladiator.

  • @Flaxenthunder

Cant forget about Hanz Zimmer either. Hes the guy that does the music.

  • @Flaxenthunder I so want to agree with you but this movie failed. Gladiator was a classic and will go down in history as one of the all time great movies in cinema history. This movie put a bad taste in my mouth.

  • what is the second song??

  • Didnt know Robin Hood was so violent

  • Friggin' Incredible.

  • great stuff! i only hope people are not bored of too many robin hood movies....

  • Oh my god!

At 0:11 he says "Rise and rise again, until lambs become lions" ..

It reminds me so much of the Gladiator quotes like "What we do in life echoes in the eternity" !

I am sooo gonna watch this film!

  • I can't wait!!!

  • i listened to this part 100 times could not understand ty ^^ !!!

  • EAT THIS COSTNER! CROWE IS THE BEST!

This is going to be the movie of 2010!

  • Christian Bale is not one of my favorites, but i think he would have made an excellent Robin hood, or perhaps Michael Fassbender, i think thats how you spell his name... anyway, for those of you who dont know who M.F. is look him up.

  • @shizlegizmgar Christian Bale is an excellent actor, but i dont think he will be very trustworthy as a leader, as Russel Crowe is. If you have watched Terminator Salvation u know what i mean.

  • @Balboa99991 terminator sucked !!! dont compare bale with crowe!!!!!!!!!!

  • @kosyodanoob I am very aware of that terminator salvation wasnt a good movie, but i still dont think Bale is believable as a leader or "boss" character. I dont "compare" them. If u have seen any of Bales other movies, u can still easily say he is as good actor as Crowe, if not better.

  • i have seen all of his movies and he is pretty good as a support cast like mark strong !!

  • Have you watched Gladiator?

  • So Galadriel became Eowyn?

  • the director of gladiator likes russel crowe xD

i'm a little bit thoughtful if it's a good idea to film an old(very old) story new...we have already hundreds of robin hood movies.

  • sounds like war on terror lol

  • I think to say that Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) is more feminine than Blanchett

is probably a very subjective view as I don't see anymore feminine in Aliens than Cate was in Elizabeth...what about Benjamin Button? or Veronica Guerin or Babel? Not feminine?

  • I think you might have just a little bit of homophobia to be calling her "Butch Blanchett". They wanted a female lead that would do credit to the part and she will. After all Crowe is 45 now they can't have some simpering 20 yr old as Maid Marion can they? I think we will just have to agree to disagree as both Crowe and Blanchett are favourites of mine. Cheers.

  • why would Maid Marion be some feminine wishy washy type personality?? She ran with Robin Hood for heaven's sake. She was sitting in a castle sewing tapestries. LOL. She's perfect for this role. SHe is exactly the strong, confident woman that Maid Marion had to have been. Who should have gotten the role? Reese Witherspoon?? LOL.

  • This looks awesome another Gladiator?? Hope so. He deserves another one. I'v e been waiting for this and the poster is fabulous!! I'm hopeless for Russell Crowe...I would pay to see him stand and recite the alphabet.

  • This actually looks pretty damn good. Hopefully it will put Ridley Scott back on top.

  • The second theme is taken from "By All Means Necessary" by Ian Brown. Not worth the bother in my humble opinion.

  • The first music (0:20 - 1:00)

    is The Truth Unravels II

by Two Steps From Hell (it's on youtube)

Don't know about the last one.

  • Looks fucking EPIC.

  • |I declare him from this day forth to be an outLAAAAAW!!"

Dunno why he had to put the emphasis on Law.

  • I LOL every time I watch that part now.

  • OMG, I am so gonna watch this. I loved Gladiator btw.

  • What is the song please ?

  • There was a Legendary Gladiator in the Kingdom Of heaven, who became Alienated, because of the Matchstick Men who are great Duellists. The Black Rain came down and washed all the Lies of the Body. Later an Gangster from America shot the leader of the Rain, the black hawk, down. It all resulted in a 1492 Good Year when Hanniball made shore with his White Squal where witnessed Thelma and Louise taking Gi Jane hostage....

    Blade Runner!!

  • I know you sceptics don't think it possible, but this will be bigger, better and more creative than Gladiator - it will make you think about your own history - you wait (I was there at the filming, so I know!). It could be the biggest film of all times.

  • I absolutely think you're right...sometimes you can just tell I knew as soon as I saw the poster never mind the trailer which is fabulous...I can't believe you were there for the filming how lucky can anyone be? I followed it daily pretty much on the net. I think this will surprise everyone!!!

  • So true :)

  • i just hope its not too similar to Gladiator...kinda seems it tho and i'm still unconvinced about Blanchett as Maid Marian..i feel like she's too strong for the character..not feminine enough and i understand that it IS a strong role but..it just doesn't feel right to me..another actress would've been better but i am completely and utterly willing for my mind to be blown away by her performance. i'm sure she'll prove me wrong! looks good tho i think!

  • The first trailer didn't feel right. Made me guess if Scott gave the ok for it or not. This one is much better and makes me hope for a good movie. I'm sceptic though. "Creating worlds" and teaming up again after "A Good Year" and "American Gangster" might not be the recipe for a new success like the showdown in the circus maximus. A try for a really badass man in tihghts after several changes in the script... i want to be optimistic. And I want a good movie, Mr. Scott. I think/hope chances are.

  • Plenty of beaches near Nottingham...

  • might be that there are plenty of them in teh holy land

  • The only reason that I'm interested in this film is because Russel Crowe and Ridley Scott and back together again.

After Gladiator there is reason to be optimistic. I'll allow myself to give this movie a chance.

  • GLADIOLA 2

  • testing

  • it looks like they made gladiator 2 and just called it robin hood....but meh, i'll wait to see the movie before i make my call

  • sorry, big Crowe fan, but not impressed

  • this best atleast have some decent bow / archery scenes

  • It looks like this film gonna be a great film like gladiator and I hope so....

  • I don't know about this movie im sure action and the movie in general will be good but im not sure if they've taken RObin Hood the real story and recreated it or destroyed to match the storyline

  • Did Robin Hood really exist? if not how can it be historically inaccurate? Im just happy the studio didnt sell out and let Michael Bay or some other douche direct this!!

  • It looks stunning, whatever the historical discrepncies Scott always mnages to evoke the true feeling of a period. I just hope it has the substance that KoH lacked. Crowe looks perfect, regardless of age, as does whoever is playing King John...looking forward to it!

  • Looks nice and gritty just the way I like it. I'm kinda tired of the whole pretty young guy that does the usual swashbuckling fanciful fighting. I like the feel of this and I really want to at least check it out.

  • hummmmm. Not sure. I mean Gladiator is one of my fav movies but I am a massive fan of Jonas Armstrongs Robin Hood. I always see Robin as late 20s early 30s. Crow looks to old. But am willing to give it a shot.

  • blah

  • I think what you are going to get is something that would be historically accurate to what Robin of Locksley would have actually been like, that is of course if he actually existed or it is just a tale!!

But you think about it, Crowe isn't old for it!, Robin went on a crusade, that would have taken time to get there, spent years there, then got imprisoned, then tooks some months to get back, surely he would have aged a lot from the harshness of the crusades!

  • Doubt it will top prince of thieves, even if Robin a was yank

  • He's too old for this role.

  • agreed

  • kevin costner's robinhood looks sharper. would you agree?

  • FUCK NOOO !

  • It looks good, but it also looks (action wise) very reminiscent of Scott's Gladiator (which Crowe of course was also in). The only thing I'm worried about (but may be proved wrong . . hopefully) is Scott's tendency to veer away from historical accuracey. His other historical movies (Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven . . . to name a few) are known for not being the most historicaly accurate movies out there. We'll see with Robin Hood! I look forward to it though!

  • @Voileen They aren't meant to be historically accurate - they are meant to be entertaining. This movie looks like it will be very entertaining.

If you want historical accuracy, you should go watch a documentary or read a history book, not depend on a hollywood feature film.

  • yeah I hear ya. Gladiator was definitely entertaining as hell! I really enjoyed it! And I know what you mean. :) It's just hard for me, as a history buff, to see movies set in a time period or using historical characters I am very familiar with changed around. But yeah, this movie does look VERY good in terms of acting, action, costumes, and all that.

  • This movie might be good. Im a huge robin hood fan, and hopeing it will do justice.

I've always been more into the bbc robin hood. I think what makes robin hood great is that he learns not to kill, but still faces a fine line with new morals.

I hope he wears the "hood" more, knowing that thats one of the main reasons why i think robin is special, due to his superhero like ways, uncluding a get-up costume like the hood.

I like russell crowe but i just pray this isnt another war movie.

  • This trailer is better than first trailer

    it's very cool and realistic

    russell crowe can act

in any role because he's brilliant

  • This movie will be released exactly 10 years after Gladiator wow.

  • RUSSEL CROWE CAN DO ANYTING!

one of my fav actors ! BOOM!

  • looks brilliant good to se a different approach tbh :) cant wait! xD

  • Glad to see a different treatment of the story. Everyone has followed the young, idealistic role of robin hood since ROS in 1983. hope this is better than the bbc trash version. can't wait to see it next year

  • What makes you so certain that Robin Hood was young when he was a hero?

  • The guy who couldn't swordplay, and looked like Santa's elf in his bright green costume? I think that time has gilded some memories here...

I have no idea if Crowe will be good or not in this role, but he's hardly an inferior actor.

  • i hope you choke on a dog turd and die slowly and painfully with your pants soiled, while getting butt fucked by your father in a dirty Delaware bathroom.

  • talentless??? might be ungly but he sure aint talentless

  • Can anyone give me a name of the song starting at 1:02?

  • Comment removed

  • Great thanks man. However i think it would be better without singing.

  • Robin Hood usava facas e espadas.

  • This movie looks pretty epic I love how it looks for an epic type movie.
