  • @TheKgrizz21 Thank you sir!

  • I really like the video, nice work. I'm 13 and just started trapping myself. So far this season ive gotten my first fox, raccooon, and beaver. Keep on the tradition it's much better than Xbox and all the new things these days.

  • really a nice job. Thank you for sharing.

  • Boy, this video brings back some of my fondest memories as a very young man! Thank you!

  • Outstanding videos, they always bring a smile to my face. Keep them coming, this old footage is absolutely beautiful. Great work.

  • LOVE THE VID. I'm only 16 and my dad is about 60 and was going to teach me to trap when i turned ten but he sufferd from a massive stroke in 2001 and was never able to do anything in hunting or fishing matters again. I like the vid and say yes to keeping the tradition alive. May everybodies traps be full.

  • I've concerned now that I see I have caught bigger coons than he showed at 4:01 of this clip. And that was his biggest caught!

These City coon just get bigger and bigger, Toronto....coon capital of the world.

  • This is one of my favorite youtube videos, it makes the 90's seem so long ago. You have anymore old stuff?

  • @MrDeerWizard Thanks, much appreciated! I got tons of old video but not much trapping. There is a stories from the trapline 2 & 3 though if you haven't checked them out yet.

  • WE TRAPPED WHEN WE WERE KIDS THERE WAS NOTHING BETTER .

  • Damn your car must stink like shit LOL, what a hick

For humans I use dollar bills, I set traps human size and they never fail me. I'm thinning the herd too buddy

  • @Reverseflush I always get a kick out of visiting the channels by the butt hurt dolts who leave moronic comments on these videos. I particularly enjoyed your featured video of your crack house LOL. Guess I'd rather smell animals then meth. Before you rip up your bathroom floor stupid, count the squares and notice a pattern. Your contractor was a hack, thats all. It's evident throughout. The space in the ceiling are called trusses moron. Sounds like you're just taking over the family business.

  • @Reverseflush hey hater y dont u go hate on some stupid vids but this is a great video if you have nothing better to do then make fun of us trapers and call us hicks then i feel bad for you and while ur sittin on ur computer getten a welfair check were workin and earnin r money and if it werent for us u wouldnt get any welfair cuz it cums from taxpairs like me and (antihuntersloveme) so be glad were here makin ur money

  • graet video

  • Ahh goodbye America's wildlife " I'll show my Grand kids this video in years to come and say " See kids this is what a Beaver looked like .

  • @MaxPower30au Ahhhhh Denial.......the halfway point between ignorance and self destruction. The generations before you understood but the bulb burned out with you. We are natures conservationists and caretakers and through management, education, science and self reliance will continue to help this cause wether you're intelligent enough to comprehend it or not. Lets hope those grandkids are raised better beyond the confines of their grandparents bedtime fairy tales.

  • @MaxPower30au State governments do annual estimates of fish and game populations and set limits on the number of animals hunters, trappers, and fishermen may take. There are many systems in place to enforce these limits, not including self-policing. This game management is paid for in large part through licensing fees, something which YOU have never paid a dime into. Thanks for all your help, loudmouth.

  • @MaxPower30au dont be a twitt there are so few trappers now days there is no way that beaver, rats ,coons, possums, or any of the rest of the fur bearers are going to disappear.I ran a 250 trap line in an area for 10 years when I was a teen 40 years ago and there are more furbearers there now than ever before .We should thank the beaver trappers out there ,without them beavers create a lot of damage,

  • @Nephi2006 Right on, thanks!

  • nice video man, cherish that u have your dad on video trapping some people never get the chance.

  • @thedeerhunter1982 You bet! Thank you sir!

  • @AntiHuntersLoveMe YOU ARE THE MAN!

  • this is something ive been trying to get into and really want to so i will try my hardest to keep the traditions that built this country and sent us west going.

  • how do you catch the possoms?

  • very cool dude, good job

  • What are the best traps to use (which brand) Oneida Victor? Duke?

  • @mrgregory121 I like sauvageau, belisle and victor.

  • great video i really enjoyed it i wish we had coons around here to trap

  • @icettrap no you dont!!!! there greesy as hell and there only worth 13 $

  • ahh, well i hope so, itd be coool to see .

  • lmao! what a weirdo. Anyways yeah man , you been doin any trappin this year? if so thatd besweet if there was some footage =]

  • I got just a little beaver trapping footage from this past fall. I tried to catch a bobcat too but everyday snowstorms put a damper on things. I've got a little footage from my dads collection set aside....I may try to combine the two and make something up sometime in the near future.

  • haah hey man, loved these videos so much just watching again ! haha, and wow man, fuck that asshole ..that asshole being @ jacquelineveronique

  • LOL we call her cracky. Shes a dope smoking dike from san franfreako that thinks all animals are endangered....can't tell the difference between a coyote and a wolf and swears there are no elk in the states. Any day now the mothership will return and take her back to her home planet. Thanks for watching!

  • shut up civil war losing redneck

  • @jacquelineveronique actually, Im from new york. the funny thing is yes I grew up in the woods, but i lived in the city, now the country. think about the animal that gave its life for your nice juicy hamburger or any other meat. what you dont know is that animal had no choice but to die, and that it gets tied up, hung upside down, and has its throat slit while its still alive. think about that and then criticize us you whiny prissy little bitch. if you dont like the videos, then dont watch them.

  • Comment removed

  • @jacquelineveronique You're still crying because I made you look like a fool over two months ago? Pathetic. Get over it, loser.

  • Comment removed

  • @jacquelineveronique What's a morror?

  • @jacquelineveronique no, it makes me well educated in the world of the outdoors, unlike you who knows nothing other than sitting next to laptop all day and not doing anything and wasting your time. and it also shows youre a stuck up bitch saying that youre always right when you call people that. it seems that youre unhappy with your life for some reason and that you may need counseling. may i suggest a few well known counselors?

  • @jacquelineveronique and about the civil war, i live in the north dipstick. we won, and you know im right. to quote ted nugent " you may not like me, but you cant ignore me"

  • @jacquelineveronique not quite dumbass, ive lived in new york all my life. doesnt make me a bad person now does it? and before you criticize us, may i show you a video? its called destroying the myth. look it up and watch it.

  • @jacquelineveronique my family wasnt here during the civil war. my family is from italy. weve always lived in new york. did you watch the video link? lol

  • @jacquelineveronique bet your gut is as big as your mouth bitch!

  • @jacquelineveronique Who are you calling a redneck trailer hitch?

  • @jacquelineveronique bet you there more plastic in your body than in anything else in this world. oh and about the NRA. and the rally that was after columbine, was scheduled for that date, and there was no reason for them to change it. it was wrong, yes butthey did have the right to use the second amendment, they just used it irresponsibly. you ban guns, its not going to stop crime, because what happens when the one who rob you have a gun and you dont? you get shot instead of protecting yourself

  • I hate it when that happens!! LOL

  • who do you sell the animals to is it a friend or a local shop? because i just got some conibears and i want to make some money off of them

  • See if you can find a listing for a fur buyer in your area.

  • That pretty damn cool man!Never set any traplines.Great memories to cherish forever!Great video Cory!!!

    5*s everytime!!

  • Thanks a lot man. I've got hours upon hours of old outdoor footage that could be uploaded from my dads collection. Truely a joy to revisit and more meaningful as I get older and share those same experiences with my boys.

  • Thats what its all about man! These crazy idiots have no idea our love for the outdoors.....We have to show our children the love of the outdoors or the crazys will take it from them..Good stuff love to see family together in the feild!!

  • No way I'm going to heaven where the good trapping is. Cry about it.

  • i got land at my familes house but thay have like 12 free roaming dogs

  • i wana get into trapping but i dont have anywere to trap... ant ideas

  • If you have friends or family with remote river or creek frontage maybe you could run a small line. Culverts, bridges and streams crossing the road are great and quick to check. These are travel routes for mink, muskrat, otter etc and a great start. Here you can trap puplicly owned lands put pay careful attention to your local game laws. Good luck!

  • Great! Thanks alot man! Now I gotta go set some steel. Be back in 20...

  • *Do any of you guys livetrap? I want a pet pind marten. Will settle for weasel or mink. Im sick to death of European ferrets!

  • I love the way yall trap man reminds of my pa ... good luck to all trappers

  • Thanks for tuning in man. Good luck out there.

  • cool

  • i have always wanted to know what do you do with beavers and minks and even coon do you eat them or just keep skins i keep both i wanted to know about u

  • Often one is used to bait another. I've heard beaver is quite tasty although I've never tried it.

  • @AntiHuntersLoveMe yeah beaver meat is very tasty.the tail is a specialty among the injuns.

  • hey man, your videos are great. awesome sets and unlike many videos on here this you actually know whatyour doing, very nice

  • Wow thanks a lot man, much appreciated.

  • ive just got into trapping. I havent got alot of traps. but all my money is used on expanding my collection, anyways. I was wondering how and where I can sell furs? thanks

  • Try North american fur Auction. Fur Harvestors, Groenwolds in northern ILL.

There are others. The market is like the economy. Good luck.

Beaver Bob does good doesn"t he. We need more like him to teach the young ones coming up.

  • Thank you sir!

  • @Rattail33 NorthBay ont

  • Thoroughly enjoyed the vids. I'm 37, just moved back from South Florida to Southern Indiana. I trapped a lot when I was a teen. Gonna get back into it this season with my 6 year old daughter. She's excited to go and I am too. Hope you keep making vids, and good luck to you and your Dad. Remember, keeping kids in the woods keeps them out of trouble.

  • Absolutely man, good luck out there, you're doing a great thing.

  • Great video, starting up a big 'rat line this year. Got a bunch of people requesting some help with beaver. Spent my summer savings on a bunch of traps for this season, worth every penny. Best hobby a 16 year old kid can have.

  • Thats great! I hope all your hard work pays off. It is a very rewarding hobby indeed.

  • thanks for the vid man im only 13 and just gunna go trappin for the first time this season but this is a great video it actually touched my heart

  • Wow, thank you young man. Good luck out there and have fun.

  • Thank you! Even when not in the water stick to the river bottoms, it's a great place for the critters to run.

  • by far this is the best video ive found about trapping u should make alot more videos that would be cool, i just wish other people would get out and trap like u do it would put alot of spirit into alot of people thanks for making the video

  • Well thank you very much, well said. I hope to make more trapping videos myself and told my dad to be sure to carry his camera with him this season.

  • Nice video,I haven't trapped since 1991 and have been getting the yerning to rat, mink trap again but have lost heart in dry land legholds. Back in the 80's when coons use to pay 15-25 avg. it was well worth it but I cant stand to kill them for what there offering today, just a waste. happy trapping and gl :) Ray

  • Great video! Antis don't know what their missing :)

  • LOL I agree, thank you!

  • great video and great comments actually made my day. o and i am 24 and own a BBQ joint and trap so it works out i cook everytthing i kill and give away all kinds of free wild game to feed hungry families and to help show that you can use every part of every animal. i am glad to know guys are still willing to stand up for a great tradition and skilled trade and sport. keep those traps wet and your feet dry great videos

  • Wow, thank you much. Wild game for the hungry, thats fantastic!

  • great vid 5/5

    arevederci.

  • Thank you much, I enjoy putting them together.

  • Awesome!

I also have an old vhs tape of my father hunting back home in Italy (bird hunting) and that's back in '88.............to me this video kinda brings back some memories......awesome stuff!

    Five stars!

  • Thank you sir, I know what you mean. I treasure the old videos.

  • Nice videos. Like to see this years 2009 hunts. Good Luck and keep up the good work.

  • Hey thanks, I've got several 09 turkey hunts including mine up. I'm hoping to get a buddys bear hunt on video. Deer seasons gonna be action packed for sure!

  • Cool stuff man!!! Thanks for sharing that. Wish my family had taken more videos of our ventures.

  • Thanks KB, I'm lucky to have this old footage. As memorable as it should be, the details would have been long forgoten. These things seem more important to me as I get older and begin to share in some of the same experiences with my own boys.

  • Anti, u have any more trapping videos buddy???????U ever make it too illinois look me up...........

  • Hey, will do. I'm sure I have a little more....just been digging through some old stuff. I'm moving soon and hope to be doing some more predator trapping (and hunting) but don't have a lot of experience with it. I'm looking forward to the challenge.

  • Great video!!

  • Thanks tree!

  • Hahaha! Remind me never to get on the bad side of this group. Ya piss off one, you meet the wrath of the whole group. Way to tell it like it is guys.

  • Goodnight all, thanks for the support. Spam away zerokid!

  • Very Cool!!!!!Thanks

  • Thanks, glad you enjoyed.

  • Hey man, I think you did an awesome job putting this old footage together. Really appreciate you sharing it. Great job.

  • Thank you sir, I enjoyed going through some old footage today.....it all goes by way to fast.

  • Thanks CT, not enough trappers out there. I hope to be doing more trapping now that I'll be living up north....it's quite a rewarding experience.

  • Great footage thanks for sharing it appears we have another YT expert at 21 that is so funny. 21 years old punk kid run around the internet telling the world animals are more important then people. I guess the punk kid can tell us how the animals die without trapping. Guess he doesn't want to tell you the truth about animal suffering with mange cause from coyote over population. I am sure the punk kid thinks it better animals suffer for months instead of sitting in trap over night.

  • Bruce, the voice of reason. Thanks buddy, it seems so simple doesn't it? Amazing anyone could not comprehend the appreciation we have for our time spent in the outdoors and how much we care for the future of our rights to hunt fish and trap. Sad to see how weak kids are raised.

  • Hey Cory you know the 21 year old of today sure are taught to just stand up for animals and to heck with the people. They cause animal suffering to increase 10 fold by their gross incompetent ignorance of nature but still what can say to a 21 year expert on nature besides shut up and you have a lot to learn. Louisiana right now is losing the state to nutria because no one is trapping them. DUH? trapping and man is part of nature it is called reality.

  • Yeah I heard that not long ago about the nutria. Destroying among other things vast amounts of vegetation critical to the future of our wetlands. I'm not that familiar with them but know they're very similar to a muskrat?

  • Oh the nutria is like a huge m'rat about 10 pounds they eating machine one expert said they could lose 1/3 of state to these critters as they eat the vegetation that is holding back the seas. But the ZeroKid experts of the world can't admit they are wrong about nature. They would have to grow up and make grown up decisions. Hard for them to break their brainwashing.

  • Wow, I had no idea they were so large. Talk about destructive....you mean we cant just give them nutria birth control or build nutria fences hahaha or live trap them and relocate them to nutria island. I'll have to look into that some more....sound pretty bad.

  • Well I am sure the 21 year college educated fools will want to tax everyone for their immature child like thinking and ask for 2 trillion dollars so they can give the nutria birth control. You know these city kids have no idea where Government money comes from. Yes they are huge eating machines. We are talking billions of dollars in property damage alone not to mention the human suffering if these animals are not controlled.

  • nutria are horrible little rodents. when i lived in new orleans i loved watching the sheriffs doing night patrols along the canals shooting them.

  • Hahaha Umm part time and i have been doing wilderness surveying sinc i was 18. You are pathetic. Do you even know what an everglade ranger is?

  • Great video, it's always nice to look back at good memories. To many kids these days without fathers of that caliber, ones that take the time to pass on knowledge and teach their kids to take care of themselves. To teach them reality and the value behind hunting and trapping. to be a good steward of the earth and it's life. Good dads, raise good kids, kudos to your dad my friend. The world needs more men like him.

  • WHAT AWSUM FOOTAGE!!!!This is great, love to see this stuff, take a kid trapping is right! There is no other way to make these great memories! I wish I had some film of my days on the trapline, just watching this brought tears to my eyes, (dont tell Rockholm or Adam). Thanks for posting this man, its great!

  • You sissy! hahaha, he told me!

  • Hey thanks Jim. I miss those all day riverfloats with the old man filling the old flatbottom with mink, coon and mukrats. Cruising the backroads stopping at every culvert to see if we got a mink or wading through the flooded ponds to pull out a nice prime beaver. Good times indeed!

  • Alot of trapping huh! Very interesting form.

  • Neat video looks like lots of fun

  • Wow this is sick. Hunting is one thing but when you use traps like that in the water the poor animal dies slow. They drown or die suffocating. Dont one person tell me im fucking wrong because i grew up with a father that used traps and you can look it up. so learn before you reply to this.

  • Cody I don't know what traps your dad used, but do you see the ones he is using here? Instant. what ones you use make a difference. Leg traps or some types of snares used were slower. Ive traped for many sesons. hope that qualifys me to reply

  • Umm he is using Conibear traps. You can clearly see at 1:30 what he is using. They are not instant at all! The traps are made to smash the body while not hurting the pelt. I have nothing against hunting but traps are cruel. Nothing you can say to prove your point. Almost every form of trap is cruel. Show me a trap that isnt that is commonly used.

  • Listen kid, theres been a lot of strides made in the last 20 or 30 years to make traps more efficient....we have very strict trapping regulations here in MI. The conibears are set to not only kill fast but hold them underwater. If you think thats a slow and painful death you have no buisiness hunting or eating processed meat for that matter. When executed properly this isn't cruel...you saying so isn't going to make it true. If you don't like trapping go watch something else and quit crying.

  • KId? Wow yes im a kid and you are the one that is fucking going around killing small animals for no reason. Your an idiot if you think conibears kill fast. Its not cruel? Thats why you have vids of a poor raccoon with his paw caught in a fucking trap you dumbass. He looks like he is having the time of his life. Lets see you or your father (if his cruel ass isnt dead yet) put your hands in one of these so called none cruel traps. Im may be twenty-one. But atleast i know the value of life.

  • For no reason? Don't kill fast? Poor raccoons paw? Kid, it's unfortunate your dad didn't pass any commonsense down to you. I'm not going to take the time to address all your ignorant absurd comments because....well, it doesn't mean anything to me and doesn't change the facts. Maybe your time would be better spent exploring websites or talking to your local game warden on some of the benifits of trapping. You're crying right now aren't you? Boo hoo.....boo....booo hooo hahaha beat it kid!

  • You simply have no real concept of nature, keep to your Walt Disney movies, they make nature look loving and kind. If you think human control is cruel and a hunter doesn't recognize the value of life, you should look into how mother nature controls populations. Starvation, predators that eat animals alive, disease that can take months for the animal to pass. You just simply don't understand the realities of it all. Stay in the city boi, reality is ugly. And traps are incredibly humane.

  • So two wrongs make a right? No!Dumbass. Im a wilderness surveyor and a part time Everglade ranger smart one. I just value life and the beauty of nature. Did i say hunter? No! I said trapping! They are different. Not that id expect you to know that. I dont even live in a city. Jesus you have no idea how ignorant you make yourself seem.

  • Uh huh, another city child playing outdoor expert. Don't you love the interwebz? You obviously have NO experience with trapping if you think it is somehow inhumane. Like ALL things in this world, nothing is perfect but it is very humane. And to claim otherwise, proves you lack of knowledge and experience. So I will stick by my first statement. An Everglade Ranger at 21? ahahahaha, come on boi, don't BS us, you're not even out of college yet.

  • Second do you know what a surveyor is? Jesus you think because im 21 im an idiot? Ha. I pitty you and your foolishness.

  • Why don't you go survey your bedroom and rest your head on your pillow and cry yourself to sleep.

  • Yes I do, I also know what a Ranger is. So, are you a ranger or a surveyor? I know a Ranger needs a degree, you have claimed to be both, so which is it? Your not old enough to have the degree so that makes being a Ranger BS. But no matter, the reality is you have NO understanding of trapping, and that's a plain and simple fact.

  • Wow you are a smart one. Learn to read.

  • That's golden coming from a kid without a degree. I actually have a masters in Chemistry, you know, one of those things you get from going to college. Now, which lie are you going to stand on here?

Or, are you one of those "honorary" Rangers? You know, that feel good position they give to unqualified people to make them feel better.

  • Oh yea? Then what do you do that puts that "masters" in chemistry to work? OH YEA Drywall! What a fucking loser. Atleast what i do takes skill and some form of knowledge. Which lie? Lets see i work as a surveyor Four days out of the week and and Three as a an animal rescue and maintenance. Smart one. Any idiot can put up drywall.

  • Actually I work for a fortune 50 company doing water treatment for HVAC and Boiler systems. I also work in R&D on occasion as well as contract work for the state and federal gov't. Loser, ahahaha, I make more in a week than you do in a month, so you just keep making yourself feel important.

You were right AHLM, rescue & maintenance, pulling rats out of the toilet before you clean them.

  • Haha well first of all assranger, not only drywall which by the way I have multiple published articles on the subject and well known in my trade, but by the ripe old age of 21 I built, sold and was building my second home all while starting my own buisiness and a family. I'll tell you one thing, I had a grasp on reality that you are so obviously lacking by the age of......oh like 6 haha.

  • Years of frequent masterbation may have made your wrists toned but you're far to big a puss to work with me boy.

  • Zerokid so you are following the Nazi superior race thinking? Cause you been to college you are now a brownshirt that hates freedom and attacks people about something you don't understand is that it loser? Maybe you should try thinking like an American and respect people. Your true Nazi colors are coming through you are bigot. Are you a racist too?

  • How fortunate for leaders that men do not think. Do you think?

  • Haha hey zero, you're getting crushed kid. Its fun for awhile but eventualy it just becomes spam. I'm allowing you to have your period right here on my video, why don't you defend yourself by spewing more obscenities or coming off as more of a jack ass. Haha you're funny.

  • Zerokid you can even quote Hitler good job punk. I forgot more about trapping and the eco system then you will ever learn child. You should be smart enough to know you are uneducated and clueless about reality of trapping. But you just can't act like a man instead you just want to spout your hate. Are you wearing your brownshirt? You think? that is very funny. LOL

  • Thanks ECB, you the man buddy. LMAO at the internet ranger.

  • I have an Environmental Science degree, and working on my masters in wildlife science...I value the environment, life, and the beauty of nature...I'm also a trapper, there is a need for it, it is humane and I have no convictions about it

  • Well said buddy.....who loves their environment more than the ones that actualy fund and care for it year after year.

  • Haha a 21 year old wilderness surveyor and part time ranger....you mean the kid that scrubs the park toilets and picks up the trash right? It's nice you're working toward something in that field but you sound like a real douchbag and about as intelligent as a football bat. We get it, you're sad about dead nuisance animals......boo hoo.....wipe your eyes and move along now.

  • Thanks guy, good points.

  • You're wrong haha.

  • You are set in you mind and nothing can change that if you arent prepared to be reasonble. The Rams as well as the ones used here have passed the strict critisism of animalrights people. Trppers spend a lot to be legal, and use the best method avalable. If youre against any form of trapping,so be it. I have a lot of respect for good trappers. Have a good day.

  • they don't die slowly, the conibear cuts off air flow to their lungs or snaps their neck...a slow death would be a couple minutes or more, not seconds with the conibear traps...nice video cory

  • Thanks Jed, It's the videos where they see the end result that bothers them so much......or the deer that drops in it's tracks and kicks for 15 seconds before dying. They don't mind going to the freezer section and picking out a nice steak though.

  • This was one of the greatest videos I have seen!! Nothing is more prescious than the time spent with your father. Love the trapline, Brings back memories of my childhood setting traps with my uncle. Great video, great ttibute, Great trapping, Being in the great outdoors. Can't beat that. 5/5 and Faved!! Thanks so much for allowing us the chance to share these moments with you,

    ED

  • Thank you much Ed, that means a lot to me. I miss the days of tromping through the woods and going down the river on an all day float checking traps. I still set a small trapline to this day and my dad does as well. Theres really not much to be made these days but to anyone whos walked up on that beaver or mink in their set, it's a very rewarding experience.

  • Great video!

  • Thanks Rock!

  • I made the first comment! Do I get a cookie?

  • You get two!

  • This is good stuff. What a tribute. Who did the filming and editing here? This is every bit as well done as most documentarys that are on the tube. Hey, thanks very much for sharing this personal time with us. I really hope the anti's see fit to leave this alone, and not post a bunch of crap on here. They have lots of other places to spew their anger and shock. Be nice if they give this one the respect it deserves.

  • Thanks! This is some old footage but I remember going out on the pond and setting up to thin out the muskrats with my dad. I remember us going out and checking them the next several mornings and running the camera. If memory serves me right we caught 63 muskrats out of that little 20 acre pond in the short time we trapped it that season. I edited through the old footage this morning and put something together. Glad you liked it as much as I enjoyed reliving those memories.
