  • I feel the same way about C.O.D. Black Ops Zombies.

  • The computer game sequences in this segment were generated on an ACS1200 and cost so much that it nearly bankrupted production

  • Wow. Vanguard. Haven't thought of that since 1983.

  • if i cound have a game character come to life it would be lara croft or the prostitutes from GTA or maybe opkemon

  • Who is the boy with glasses ?

  • @JEROME02100 Billy Jacoby. These days he goes by Billy Jayne.

  • The old school nice !

  • THE SEGA CENTER! That's what that arcade was called! Dang I couldn't remember for the longest time!! Later they called it TIME OUT.

    Man I practically lived there.

Hoo boy, this movie's rendition of hardcore cholos is hilarious.

  • Hairnet?

  • Very good game addiction acting. The Sega Center at the Fox Hills Mall was the bomb.

  • This had and still has the best soundtrack of any movie to date imo. Punk music for the win.

  • This is a great post i remeber when i was like 14 me and my younger brother got this hugue box of video taped from sombody and thier was one in thierthat was simply labeld nightmares 2 hrs...LOL..OMG..we would put it on every night.(.becuase we shared a room) for probaly for 2 years straight...Again GREAT ADD..thanks for the memories

  • Thank very!! Very!! Much for uploading this, I have been waiting to watch this film for over 20 years now. Man!! This is one rear classic film very hard to get hold of. Thanks again

  • I wonder if the writers of this film realized that "beat the bishop" was slang for masturbation?

I love how $25 was considered such a large bet that the kid had to get the other gang member to cover it.

  • wow i remember seeing this @ like 3am when i was a kid! thanks for the post

  • I remember that game. We actually had a guy named Cuny at our arcade....lasted over 24 hours on Defender once!

  • Hey first of all I would like to thank the person that posted this. Like some others this was a part of my youth. I recorded it to tape and it is ruined now. Although it has been along time since I have seen this, their was a time when I watched it a lot. I would like to get it on DVD eventually so it lasts. I did just look and saw it for $50 (after shipping ebay) and that is a deal compared to what I have seen. Unfortunately still to rich for my blood. Do you have the priest episode, please?

  • Yeah man. Sucks the DVD is so much. Out of print DVD's are in high demand. You can get this on Amazon for around $50 too.

Films like this, "Madman", "Night of the Creeps" etc etc etc really need an official DVD release.

I mean there's so many more worse films that have DVD's.

  • there is a website where you can download the whole thing then burn to a cd...google bishop of battle.

  • maybe not they removed it...sorry.

  • This movie is one of my classics! Great short stories and awesome sound track with a few songs from Fear the record.

  • cool Walkman headphones too

  • Emilio Estevez looks like Brett Vanderbrook!

  • Coach Bombay!!

    Quack! Quack! Quack! Quack!

  • omg is this on dvd???

  • I have desired this dvd for years now. It is possible to find on ebay, but because it is out of print it is very expensive. I have seen it go for well over $60. I have even seen used video rental TAPES go for about that in clearly listed "poor" condition. Good luck my friend, but for now it is up there on the hard to find list along with non print movies like The incredible shrinking woman, and Rad.

  • sweet, video game hustling, i remember those days

  • Emilio's nerdy friend reminds me of Rocky the Flying Squirrel.

"Hey Rocky, watch me beat the Bishop!"

"Again? That trick never works!" lol.

  • One more thing to add, who doesn't love 80's video games?

Donkey Kong, Pac-Man, Space Invaders. Man those were the days

  • Who doesn't love arcades. Whatever happened to them?

  • HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!

Thank you so much for putting this up!

God I LOVED this as a child.

I was scared shitless! LMAO! Since I loved video games so much, as a kid, I got scared that thing was going to come after me LOL!

Thanks again. Really made my day.

  • classic shit!! i seen this when was young and been lookin for it for a long time! TYVM for posting!!

  • will you be posting the other chapters from the movie?

  • no, but the first segment of Nghtmares is on here as well 'terror in topanga'!

  • is there any way i can download this 2 my pc ive been after it 4 yrs and cant get it any were????

  • Not worth replying to, because i have no idea. ...didn't want to leave you hanging.

  • @pdw2309 there are a few downloaders out there-try the Xhamster downloader-it downloads from XHamster, a porntube site, but if you try to download from youtube, it gives you an option to purchase an add on for like 10 bucks-just google xhamster downloader

  • @pdw2309 well i know im two years late but i know a way you can do it,,,

  • @pdw2309 download realplayer, and you can get a download option on any video online (it'll pop up in the top right corner of videos)

  • Thanks for putting this up .. been searching for this for ages .. such a great story

  • so have I!

  • The songs are by Fear,Rik L Rik,Black Flag and

    X.

  • Gotta love old school 80s gangstas! I love this movie!! Anybody know where it was filmed?

  • What's this song that plays in JJ's walkman?

  • both songs are by Fear, the first is called "i dont care about you" and the second one is called "lets have a war"

  • I want see more from one of my fav actor !!!

    thank you for posting

  • Good times good times. Thank you so much for putting this up, dwork. Loved it since I saw it.

  • I love this movie, "Nightmares" is one of the underrated films of the 1980s, a classic film from 1983. The Bishop of Battle is my favorite segment in this film about addiction, especially to a video game. Emilio Estevez and Billy Jacoby are awesome in this segment. Billy Jacoby played in the great 1985 comedy film "Just One of the Guys" as Buddy Griffith, the sex-obsessed teen.

  • The actor who did the voice of the Bishop of Battle is James Tolkan, best known for his role as Mr. Strickland, the principal of Hill Valley High School in the "Back to the Future" trilogy. He did an awesome voice of the Bishop of Battle.

  • wait, isn't emilio estevez in another movie where they play lets have a war?

  • Yes, Repo Man.

  • yes, really good movie!

  • If he doesnt have the other 2 chaps what id suggest is just doing what regretably am going to have to do myslf and just buying the whole thing..The first one terror in topanga was sweet and it actualy kicked off the video

  • cool! thanks for putting that up. got the other chapters, too?

  • haha no, I just bothered putting up bishop of battle. The rest of the chapters, to be honest, are awful. Well, everything else besides the devil truck... always good for a chuckle.

  • "Terror In Topanga" was pretty good.

Lee Ving who sings the first 2 songs in the

"The Bishop Of Battle" plays the psycho.

  • Is that Fear at the beginning? Sweet!

  • They need to release this on dvd!!!

  • Whow, thats the Fox Hills Mall! Now, 25 years later, you never see that many white people at one time. That was the Saga Center video arcade. And next to Carl's Jr. was the Carl's hobby store.

  • It was on the Nightmares series. This movie is rad because its like addiction over a video game with good acting.

  • This brings back memories. I forgot which movie this was on.

  • This is on the movie called "Nightmares", a classic film from 1983.
