thats a nice 4x4 add on ...very cool all the way around .knowing the engine wouldnt be to bad but right on dude far as the idle goes ,,it must need to be up for the hydraulics
how in the world does he keep the driveshaft connected to the front axle?! i could see that being done in a 2WD, or even a hydraulic 4WD system, but....wow!!
btw, what motor does that beast have? sounds like its idled a bit high...
@bmxstreet6 For wheel base...to change the wheel base length for different types of wheeling. I do have other videos of that truck in action uploaded on here. This truck was also entered in the top truck challenge by the four wheel magazine
People here is the main idea behind this bad ass setup. Picture yourself on your hands and knees climbing up some rocks. You reach out your arms and grab something and pull the rest of your body up the rocks. That's the idea behind this. The front end reaches out and hopefully will grab something and pull the rear of the truck forward.
j ai vu pas mal de modif dans ma vie mais ca !!!!!!! je trouve ca genial ! bravo ! moi ca m intéresse de voir le mécanisme d un peux plus pres :) merci bye .
i gotta seee it in action. Can you adjust while on the trail or does it have to be on flate ground. Looks like it would work out pretty saweet for diff obsticals
Well adapted Idea my friend. I watched your attempt on the rocky hillside in the other. Dual steering and frame extension would be a bonafide asset where I hunt moose and bear......major deactivations make it difficult to negotiate some of the old roads but an extending frame would counteract the problem significantly.
That is a damned fine idea! Superb engineering, too!

TheBrokenWing1 9 months ago 2
@TheBrokenWing1 The driveshaft is telescoping,The engine,I don't know what it was but it runs on propane.
mrpeabdy1974 9 months ago
@mrpeabdy1974 ah, i see, the high sounding idle must be a side-effect?
TheBrokenWing1 9 months ago
@TheBrokenWing1 It's probably a hollowed out driveshaft with a groove(just so it spins).
blackwar12 9 months ago
@TheBrokenWing1 its probably got a pto to run the hydraulics to slide the front forward and backwards
and the pto idle's up the motor itself to power the hydraulic pump.

so you can nudge some other car from Behind and claim you did not even touch the acelerator :D

@mrpeabdy1974 Yeah, i can see that being useful in rock crawling or on certain trails. It looks like it has alot of planing into it.

What is the point? What a morron....... SWG & LWB is the shit.
zoriloco 2 years ago
The point is being able to change wheel base as different obstacles come into play.
Why don't you actually watch it in action in the other videos?
mrpeabdy1974 2 years ago
these two probably drive cars thats why they ask stupid questions. that is sweet how many days it take you
falloutmike23 2 years ago
whats the point?
jstine1234 2 years ago
You would need to go rock crawling to understand about wheel base etc..I have another video of it in action.
