  • Cox's Orange dates back to around 1825. First sold commercially in 1850.

  • @jonewer Date are all over the map but The Fruit Nut and Berry Inventory states 1830 Seedling of Ribston Pippin. Sometimes when I start talking off hand in front of the lens my memory goes bad. In this case it did. Hope it doesn't detract from the main point I was trying to make, pruning apples.

  • @jonewer I have added a note to the video indicating the 1825 date. Thank you for catching that.

  • Awesome video. I have to prune an apple this weekend.

  • many thanks! your videos are on point!

  • @nacht98 California is pretty hard to beat when it comes to fruit growing. Have a nice pruning season. Bill

  • wonderful work. Thanks very much!

  • This is a great video and it takes a lot of the mystery out of pruning apple trees. It would be nice to include a section on fire blight- prevention, identification etc.

On youtube I can't find a good apricot pruning video. Any suggestions?
