There are even prettier versions of the song, slower, the way it was written & first performed after Israel was cowardly attacked (yet again) on their Holiest day on the calendar, Yom Kippur, the day of Atonement, in 1973. I loved the dance, but Lu Yehi(Let It Be) is a folk song written by Naomi Shemer after the Yom Kippur war and is not a prayer.
